Is there ANYTHING that doesn't leak?

Just get a deep see diving bell helmet. That should contain any potential leaks, especially if you keep your pillow inside the helmet.

While I don't often notice the P10 leaking, and the charts all show it to be well controlled, the only masks I can get virtually zero leaks are the Nuance Pro and the Dreamwear nasal cushion. The second one, the Dreamwear, might surprise some. I think some think it is leaking when it is simply a change in the way the air makes noise in the headgear. But the charts show it to seal really well. I am looking forward to the N 30 i. Fingers crossed!

BTW, that chart I posted isn't a one time thing. I get similar graphs whenever using the Nuance Pro.

Just to start another argument.....I get slightly lower AHI scores with the Nuance Pro over the P10. I think it is because there are little to no leaks and the machine detects my needing pressure better.

Both of these have a wire where the mask attaches (F&P calls it their "Glider Strap Anti-Leak System."

"This strap is used to connect the headgear to the mask frame for stability, but it slides across the frame when the head is turned so that the pressure of the seal stays uniform regardless of sleep position."

I'm new to CPAP (less than 1 month), and am thinking of trying one of these two masks for the same reason... that is to minimize leaks!

I'm suggesting it to the OP, because the design and the marketing claims... but I can't say that I've actually tried it yet.

Thank you! I switched to the Nuance Pro two nights ago and although that's not long enough to establish a pattern, I had lower AHIs with the Nuance Pro as well.

Thank you for the suggestions! I won't rule anything out, but if I can avoid it, I HATE anything on my forehead. One of these may very well be where I end up, but I'm going to try everything else first.

after 16 years of nasal pillows (swift II and swift lt) and mouth tape, I'm trying the Amara View and the Dreanwear under the nose FFMs. Easier for me than over the nose FFMs.

to keep a good seal when sleeping on my back it looks like I need to use either a soft cervical collar or a mandibular advancement device.

I seem to do okay side sleeping, but the pinching of the nerves in the hips makes side sleeping only temporary.

I made the MAD so it doesnt hold the jaw forward much, so it just helps to keep the jaw from sliding back too much. 2 custom silicone MADs were $325 I think. always makes me wonder about the ol' jaw joint though.

for the soft cervical collar I will try the 3 inch instead of the 4 inch ones that I bought a long time ago on amazon.

and neither of these masks can handle ASV sleep wake junk pressure pops very well, so I have to be careful during those periods.

I'm with you accrn regarding my forehead! I look at these masks and I am so grateful the Dreamwear is working for me.

What's weird though is since the first time I saw the wild "Total Face" mask ... I've been super curious to try it. It's so completely at the far extreme it makes me want to play games / fantasize ... have you ever tried it?

I don't like things on my forehead either, but I think these are more minimal than some of the earlier masks that had gawd-awful contraptions and braces on our forehead, with adjustable pieces and the works. I guess everything is a tradeoff, but I think on these masks they've made the part in your face less obtrusive, and supposedly the forehead part isn't that bad. I ordered one of them today, so I can report back once I've tried it.

I tried the full face one... and I hated it. It seemed too confining, and I hated feeling the pressure, even against my eyeballs.
It just wasn't a good feeling, at least for me.

I think I have tried just about every nasal mask out there and the P10 is best for me at least, putting aside my mouth popping open sometimes. I go back and forth from side to side and only rarely have an issue. The pillow is key though. I have dozens of "cpap pillows" and none work as well as a soft malleable pillow that I can "shape" on my own. With the P10, I have found that I can fold and crunch my soft pillow into a smaller pad to sit just below my cheek and ears, but NOT extending past my nose when side sleeping. When I do it that way, the pillow doesn't push against the P10 and all is well! When you "flip" you will need to reshape the pillow, but I do that now so quickly I don't even remember doing it anymore.
