Full Face mask problems

Hi, I have the FlexiFit HC431 Full Face Mask, now 3 days old. Night # 1 was good , slept thru the night work with it still on my face.
this was encouraging. Night 2 and 3 stunk. Mask leaked under my chin mostly. Made horrible noises. Had to tighten straps excessively to get it to stop.
Now the biggest problem. I think I may be having a reaction to the mask material. after about 1 to 2 hours with the mask on, my face gets so irritated, I have to take it off. I tried washing the mask surface, and my face before using it . last night i even put baby powder in the irritated area. Not a help either.
Please tell me someone out there has over come this problem. What do I do?

HI,

I had a problem with chin leaks with my 431 as well. What I did is to run a velcro strap under the chin area of the mask frame and then route it through the glider strap on either side. I then fasten the velcro behind my head. I found that this works very well for me. I have never used the 431 at pressures higher than 15, but I sleep on my side with it and this extra strap makes it very stable. Hope this is helpfull.

Have a problem with leaks and noise as well
The headgear is currently being used for my Hybrid, of which I also have some leaks, but they are manageable. I like the Hybrid much better.

Ask someone what Gidgie can do with Moleskin......try Goofproof.....He knows ALL about it.......
