I can't say that anyone has ever accused me of being one of the cool kids..
My tv's a patch about four and a half feet tall and eight feet wide on the wall of the den, give or take a bit.

truth to tell, i don't watch tv anymore. don't get me wrong, i still watch shows, but through my computer. living in flagstaff for the last couple years, we don't have flagstaff channels, they all come from phoenix, over the air. and i gave up on cable many years ago.
besides, i find that watching commercials now annoy me even more so than they did before.

Same here, the projector is hooked to a notebook that pulls downloaded movies and shows off the file server in the other room.
Keeps me from seeing "GET SOCLEAN SO YOUR CPAP DOESN'T KILL YOUR WHOLE FAMILY!" commercials.

It was suggested on this thread that my minimum pressure is probably set to low. I couldn't see where I could change that. Would that be because it's a auto? I could see where I can adjust the ramp time which is currently set on auto. I thought about shutting that off. At least that'd start me at 5 instead of 4. Thoughts on that?
On a side note I feel I'm getting more used to it. I'm still waking up a lot throughout the night and I'm still waking up tired though. The other night I went to scratch an itch on my face completely forgetting the mask was on. I get that's a small thing but hopefully that's a sign of good things to come.

I wouldn't want to suggest changing much without seeing what we were changing and why and that means using the software and you letting us see what you are seeing.
You might need more minimum pressure (and yes...it can be changed even in auto mode) and you might not.
I don't like changing stuff without a good reason and just guessing when real data to back up ideas is available.
I don't like guessing.
See this thread

it has some examples of what I am talking about.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

as pugsy has said, read the link and start using sleepyhead. there are many different events that make up the total sleep apnea experience. once she sees what is going on, she can offer advice. each of us is just a little bit different in how we sleep and therefore need a little bit different advice.
and YES! that moment when you realize that you aren't aware of the mask!!
isn't that awesome?

Thanks....I really need to figure out if my laptop will install it. I had to have the hard drive replaced and I get message saying windows isn't authentic. I tried to install something else a few months ago and it wouldn't let me. Hopefully that won't be the case. I just need to be home for a bit to actually mess with it

ok good news i have it downloaded. Now i just have to get me a SD card cuz i'm pretty sure any that i can find are being used for something else. Thoughts on size of card needed? Also one of the profile questions was untreated ahi. i have no idea what that is as i wasnt given a lot of info after my sleep study. I was just told i had events and that i had mild to moderate apneia and that i should get this auto machine. I'm sure i'll have a lot more questions once i start feeding SH information. I've been going back and looking at the sticky threads for SH and there is just so much information. I'll get there i'm sure.....baby steps
I really like this forum so far and you guys have been super helpful. Are double post a major no no here? As i was typing i realized i was double posting and I dont want to make anyone upset

Ignore the user profile questions you don't know about...they aren't important anyway.
Main things
some sort of user name
time zone choice so your graph times line up
and that's really all you need.
I never bother with any of that other stuff...not sure why it is even in there.
Technically a 2 GB size SD card is going to be plenty big enough but those are hard to find. Everybody is selling larger because larger is needed more.
Just go to WalMart or similar store and get the smallest/cheapest generic SD card you can find.
Couple of years ago when I got one 8 GB was the smallest but not sure now.....might be 16 or even 32.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

I remembered that I have a 32g micro sd in my phone I don't use much so I put it in with the sd adapter. Figure it'll give me a start until I can get one solely for my machine

Do you happen to know if your OSA was made worse either on your back or during REM stage sleep?
You have some clustering of events...so your pressure settings work fine part of the night and not so great some other parts of the night.
When we see this happen it usually is related to the OSA worsening when either supine sleeping or REM stage sleep both of which it is common to have OSA worsen and/or need more pressure.
I happen to have the REM worsened OSA myself and the pattern of the clustering on your reports very closely mimics when we would be normally in REM during the sleep cycles.
You can google "sleep stages" and look at the normal hypnograms and see the pattern of the cycles.
Either way though....supine sleeping or REM the way to best deal with it is a little more minimum pressure to better hold the airway open and prevent further collapse.
Hyponeas are usually fairly easily dealt with. Something around 7 ish (maybe 8 ish) minimum pressure should do a pretty good job and might even mean the machine won't go quite as high if the minimum were set more optimally. The machine does its best work when preventing the airway collapse instead of just trying to fix after the fact.
The CAs/centrals....ignore them. Not enough to worry about whether real or not.
I would try 7 cm minimum first if going from 5 to 7 is comfortable enough. If not comfortable try 6 for a few nights and see what happens and then maybe go to 7. Work your way up. It's not urgent that you make a big jump.
You can turn the pie chart off...Preferences/appearance tab...just remove the check mark for showing the pie chart.
No need to redo these images though...we can see what we need to see well enough like it is now.
