Are you using any BiFlex exhale relief? I think maybe you are and that explains the EPAP variations. No big deal.
Yes, the BiFlex is set to a value of 2. Kind of weird actually - I thought it was on all this time, but after changing the mode to fixed, i reviewed the other settings and noticed that BiFlex was off. So either it's been off all this time for some reason, or changing the mode to fixed caused that setting to turn off by default.

Let's continue the fixed experiment but do it in auto mode with some pressure tweaking...so you don't lose FL flagging. May or may not be important.
This should be easy enough, the only reason I didn't do this was convenience of not having to adjust as many settings lol. I'll change it back to auto and make the necessary adjustments to simulate 'fixed'. I don't see any reason why not to. I didn't know that fixed mode would not capture flow limitations.

Do this for 2 or 3 more nights...
If the obstructive stuff in your AHI (OAs, hyponeas) still is running 1 to 2 ish AND you are still seeing very many RERAs and/or snores or FLs...increase the EPAP and IPAP 0.5 cm...and do another 3 or 4 nights with more pressure.
I agree with this assessment. First I'll give it a few more nights, then see how everything looks.

The Centrals/CAs...we ignore for the time being...go in and check to see if you think they are SWJ or not...make a mental note and that's it. Primary goal with this experiment is see if you can sleep more soundly with less arousals or wake ups.
After reviewing the data regarding the 4 CAs, two of them seem to be pretty obvious SWJ. One of them looked pretty legit. The other is a toss up. I'm definitely not going to worry about 1-2 potentially legit CAs in 8.5 hours of sleep

I am telling you this in advance because I may not be around for a few days. Going to Vegas for the holidays tomorrow and as much as I love you all....I will be with grandson and my daughter and just have more fun stuff to be doing than hanging around the forum.
You'll hear no complaints from me :D I'm glad to hear that you're getting to spend time with family, that's always a big bonus! Not sure if you're into pinball machines or not. But if you are, look for the pinball hall of fame. I think it's my favorite thing to do in Vegas... sadly, I'm the only one in my family that feels this way

I think BiFlex is turned off by default when in fixed mode...so when you went to fixed mode BiFlex was at the default setting.
It doesn't transfer over from auto mode...2 separate modes. No biggie.

And 1 or 2 or even a few more real centrals in 8.5 hours of sleep...I wouldn't even bat an eyelash over. It's normal to have a real sleep onset central...and it's normal to wake up after a REM stage (we most often won't remember it) and thus it's normal to have another transition to sleep from that wake up...and another chance to have a sleep onset central happen. So entirely within norms and nothing to worry about. It's unrealistic to expect zero centrals all night because they can happen and are totally normal. We just don't want to see a truckload of them.

Hey zonker,

Yeah - I've actually been reading about people using the foam collars. The chin strap I have right now is so minimal and non-invasive. That being said, if slightly tightening it doesn't help, I'll start looking at other options, including the foam collar.

Maybe I need to look at some pics of them too...
this is what i wear besides my p 10 to bed.

I think it's the Hannibal Lector vibe that's getting to me.

I'm afraid I must regretfully decline the dinner invitation.

Seems like that setup would put a lot of pressure on your mouth, is that black part a chin support?

nope. click the link. those are soft headbands with just a bit of ridge on the end. it puts just enough pressure that it holds my lips to my teeth. that keeps air from going in/out of my mouth. the collar keeps my lower jaw closed.

once i put on my p 10, i can only breath through my nose.

this rig, while it looks complicated and maybe even uncomfortable, is neither. it caused my ahi to decrease dramatically.

chin straps never really worked for me.

Interesting... my current pressure settings are making it hard to keep the pressure from escaping through my lips during the night. I thought I could tighten the strap a little but the velcro seems to have fused. I can't pull it apart without fear of damaging it.

I'm sleeping in a new place tonight. We'll see how it goes. Tempted to see if I can tolerate a drop in the PS just to lower the IPAP pressure.
