can apap be providing wrong readings?

Post by champak2001 » Fri Dec 07, 2018 10:02 pm

I have PR system one apap with humidifier since 2011 december. I am very compliant and the daily AHI average 3.5 or less. Still, for last few months, I am feeling the effects that I had in past, when i stopped using APAP for few weeks. Is it possible that the machine is giving wrong AHI data and really not working adequately? How can I find out?
Is it possible that I am developing Central apnea? But if so should my AHI number increase due to that?

I wouldn't call an AHI of 3.5 'adequate'.

Read the post up in the announcements section about 'newbies, read this before posting', and do what it says... you'll save everybody, yourself included, time.

hard to say without seeing some data. however, do bear in mind that the machine is seven years old. it may be wearing out and in need of replacement.

in the meantime, please do as palerider suggests. you just may need some tweaks in your settings. the info he referred to can be found here-

if you decide to helps those here help you, would you be kind enough to post charts here, instead of starting a new thread? helps folks keep track of you.

good luck!
