I haven't heard back from him yet and he hasn't read the PM yet...it's still sitting in the unread out box.

I saw in here that someone had a question about the Bleep tubing. I didn't cover it for two reasons:

1. I was told that it's not the actual tubing that will be on the final product. Everything else was though. From my understanding there is a flexible tubing that will be coming out with it.

2. Even with it not being the final tubing it was a non-issue when using it. It was flexible enough.

Alright....that's enough outta me here. Just couldn't leave Pugsy hanging!

It's not the adhesive that bothers me. I definitely like the idea of such a great seal that you'd know for sure if you opened your mouth and that was the source of a leak. It seems like the ultimate diagnostic mask?

I think for anyone who currently uses an elephant style, middle of the head hose position it would be worth trying.

I think I am just a snork and not an elephant? So it looks really scary and uncomfortable to me.

(...and I love elephants! I inherited a collection of nearly 1000 tiny elephants.)

...but in cPap I just cant imagine it. I like balancing books on my head, I like wearing my hair in a topknot ... I am a snork. A top hose girl.

Also in the second picture his nose looks inflated and purple. He is so handsome, that could not be a good thing! Cartilage probably is infinity mold-able and I think a plastic surgeon should design a cpap mask that has a second BENEFICIAL (beauty?) function while also being a cPap mask. I'm sure there are women sleeping in facemasks that could merge beautifully with the "bleep" system.

I can see them using a bleep hookup at a spa with a very special oxygen rich face masking treatment -( adding a cpap with healing scent to train and focus on your breathing?) body with hot towel herbal wrap and stones. And of course reflexology or shiatsu foot massage.

I could definitely do the elephant as a spa treatment. LOL

Grace...if the mask doesn't interest you then don't pursue getting one. It's not going to be something everyone will want to try or use.
No mask does that. That's how come we have so many to choose from.

I am not here to change people's mind about it or try to get them to try something that doesn't appeal to them.
What I did here was just alert people to the fact that this mask is getting close to being available to the general population.
We've been watching it for quite some time...those of us who find it interesting.

There are lots of masks that I simply don't find interesting and have no desire to even try.
Doesn't matter to me that someone else might think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread and they can't understand why I just don't want to try it.

If a mask looks interesting to me...I will try it just for that reason alone.
Now sometimes I discover that for me it ends up being a disaster and sometimes I discover that maybe it is just "okay" and might be useful in certain situations and sometimes I even end up liking it a lot and it becomes my primary mask.
I like doing it. Other people don't like to experiment and that's fine.

You don't have to try to find excuses why you don't find it interesting enough to try. You don't have to try to change my mind about it and I won't be trying to change your mind about it.
My job here is to explain the options....maybe later explain my experience with it and let others decide if they want to try it.
It's not my job to talk you into trying it. That wasn't what I was trying to do with my comments.

I was just commenting as a "user". Really I was commenting to dreaming1's comment that it looked so comfortable?
Those pictures were so big and compelling? I was carried away to comment!

I love the idea of always thinking of how anything and everything works. And I see everything through the eyes of sales and marketing.

I was just trying to see what it was about the mask that looked uncomfortable and to me it was simply the nose position of the hose. Which is an almost ancillary issue to the mask features and game changing aspect of the BLEEP.

Of course everyone should try it! I definitely want to use one to see if I am opening my mouth when I see the high leaks. I would prefer using the BLEEP over taping my lips. (If all else were equal)

I'm completely serious when I say that I think a plastic surgeon should design something that smooths away wrinkle and also doubles as a cPap mask. I want / am wishing for ... THAT!

The Bleep was the brain child of the developer.
If you were to follow his story....short version is....a cpap user who hated the "bleeping" masks available...insert your favorite dirty word.
So he designed this one and for the longest time was simply called the "Bleep".
Now he has added DreamPort....remains to be seen what might actually be on the package once it hits the retail market.
Back last year all we had to call it was the "Bleep"...and there's a lot of people who will remember that and not know it has been renamed the DreamPort...so I did both for those people.

I always kinda thought "bleeping" was fitting. Since I really am not supposed to type the other word we think about.
Trust me...there's been many a night I have called it the effing mask. In my mind more like real life and how we sometimes feel about all this stuff.

Great story! And quite fitting too. I didn't associate the "bleep" with the adjective I also use for my mask regularly!!

How to you better describe it? The mask uses a pillow-like interface to the nose.

Since I have a mask fetish, up to 10 I have bought since I started......

I am very interested in this. I can see where this would allow burrowing into a pillow, side sleeping without having to "adjust" the %^*& fit of the mask after you move it slightly.

I am also having to sit on my hands to keep from clapping when I think about the new ResMed N30i. I love a top mount hose!

If the hose on the Bleep is as flexible as say the ResMed P10, that should work ok. I will still wrap it around my neck on occasion. BUT...it shouldn't pull loose.

But from a marketing standpoint I would NEVER have mentioned the cost of the nose plumbing/adhesive strips! Lefty Lanky are you listening? Promoting something like this, I assume from a group that does not have a big budget, you want to get these to as many users as possible. The cost of these WILL be a problem. $2 per use? I have paid out of pocket for everything cpap I have due to high deductible at first and then a desire to not do business with the providers again. I am fortunate in that I could pay $60 per month for these easily. But I am not sure I would. Now if I could buy these in a box of 100 for $70 or $80 I might be good with that.

So I did...wasn't thinking fully. I think that most people who might be interested in this mask would be nasal pillow users so I guess in my mind I put it in the pillow category. It really is in a category of it's own...it doesn't cover the nose like a traditional nasal cushion mask does. Sort of like the DreamWear under the nose cushion isn't a pillow and isn't a traditional cushion.
So while it technically doesn't do the pillow thing...it doesn't do the traditional cushion thing either but I suspect that us ResMed users would still need to select "pillow" for when using this mask in our mask selection menu. Though in all honesty...probably wouldn't make any difference...I used the DreamWear cushion under both selections and nothing changed at all.

Let me think on it a bit and figure out a suitable edit for the Topic.

Jason is going to contact Stuart and see if he can get me one to try. Supplies are limited apparently...and if it's that limited right now that January release date won't happen IMHO. Production would need to really step up.
