Daylight Saving Time setting?

Post by krauster » Mon Nov 12, 2018 2:53 pm

Seems that between my Resmed Airsense 10 and Sleepyhead, my time in Sleepyhead didn't adjust off of Daylight Saving Time. It didn't Fall Back. I can't see where to make the adjustment - in the CPAP machine or in Sleepyhead?

There's a clock in the cpap machine that you have to set.
The DST box in SleepyHead doesn't seem to do anything as far as I can tell.

Don't try to set the clock backwards if there is any data within the reporting period.....it won't let you.

I change my Dream Station manually when the clock changes and also when I cross time zones. You do need to make sure that the adjustment (to an eariler time) doesn't cut into time when the machine was in use. For instance, don't set the clock back when Daylight Saving Time ends until you're up and the machine has not been in use for at least one hour.

You seem to have missed it this year, running a little late? Jim

Your comment is irrelevant, the clock on your machine is set at the factory and cannot be changed, all you can change is the time zone offset.

The resmed the op has actually has a settable clock, so that's different.

More likely, just his typical ignorance.

And disregard for the truth.
"I change my Dream Station manually . . . "
I call that a fib.
Or worse.

There is a time setting that can be changed. What affect it has is a different question.

If there is a different question, I'm sure you will ask or answer it, incorrectly. Jim

Thanks for the help. Prior to asking the question I had gotten into the Clinical Menu on the Resmed, but somehow I didn't scroll all the way to the bottom of the list of settings to see settings for date and time. Seems like maybe I was just looked at the settings at the top of the list or something. Found the time and changed it.

I do wonder one thing. I think the Resmed CPAP unit does not use batteries but somehow it holds the time when it is unplugged for travelling or house cleaning. So I was assuming that it would be picking up the time from it's cell communication to home base (the Resmed company's site). And if that's the case why wouldn't the home base not update the time?

There's an internal lithium button cell to keep memory, (settings compliance data, and the clock).

I am new to this and my unit is only a couple months old. I assume this internal lithium battery doesn't need to be changed very often - like maybe never?

That's about right.
