Dreamwear leaving a dent on cheek

Just switched to Dreamwear after using Amara View for a full year, both full face masks. My problem or complaint or issue is comfort, being able to actually sleep. Sometimes I do sleep a full night but mostly not. My AHI is usually 2-ish to 4-ish, rarely above 5. So the apnea is being treated.

Dreamwear is leaving a 1" wide dent across my cheek bone, on one side as I am a side sleeper. It doesn't go away even by bedtime. I used a piece of soft velour cloth over the strap last night to try using padding, the edges of the dent are less pronounced but still the 1" dent is there. Amara View left a vertical dent from the edge of the mask, that now seems permanent, "whatever." It is not as wide as my new dent so not as noticable from a distance.

Any suggestions?

I switched because of comfort & leaks. The whole thing (mask on my face) has been uncomfortable for the past few months, and a lot of waking because of the sounds of leaking, frustrated, thought I'd try a different mask. So far, no improvement in sleep or comfort. I do like not having the hose coming off the mask, but that's not the issue.

Some people just get marks on their face easier than others. I can relate to that. I get a scar on my cheek from a wrinkle on the pillow case. It's a fluid build up thing because of constriction of the normal dispersal of fluids in the facial tissues.

They make fleece side wraps for the DreamWear and they will help quite a bit.

Some mask packages include the wraps and some don't.

Get soft soft thick fleece and make your own would probably be the speediest option.
If still too much of a mark that won't fade fairly quickly you may need a larger frame so there isn't quite so much pressure on the cheeks.

I wrote that I made a "velour" wrap, but it is fleece. It did help a little.

Need a denser more cushiony kind of fleece or more of whatever you used. Lots of padding.

Look for "minky" fleece--super soft, with long pile.
