What does this flow rate in sleepyhead represent?

Post by Weef23 » Fri Nov 16, 2018 12:20 pm

Hi all,

I'm just wondering what this flow rate breathing pattern represents. I get a lot of it during the night even though my AHI is very low and no events are flagged. Some of the night is basically nice and symmetric where its the same height and width which I assume is generally how people breathe, but then I get lots of this as well. Would it be slowly taking larger and larger breaths, then smaller and smaller ones in cycles? Why would that happen?

Thanks for your insight!

Yes it would be varying deepness of breaths, and I don't know why.. just something in the CO2 loop cycle and your body needing to flush a little more CO2, or you're having funky dreams...

Based on what you've said though, I wouldn't worry about it.
