Let's also take a look at the central/CAs flagged and see if they appear real or arousal related.
Go here and read and watch the videos so you know how to zoom in.

Then get me a zoomed in picture of that little cluster of Centrals at around 01:30. Need to see the breath by breath along the lines of this kind of scale.

By the way don't knock the machine off. I did it out of frustration and I did not do well after. :? neither did my CPAP :lol:

Are you living high up in the mountains ? I read somewhere here that the lower pressure and or O2 could affect it.

Hi Esel Pugsy and all,

Sorry for the radio silence I have been traveling on business and my laptop decided it didn't want to do anything much like an adolescent teenager ! anyways problems fixed and back on the radar!

Esel I did laugh when I read your post :D youngish at 38 although some days I feel older lol. I live at 820 meters above sea level so not too high but higher than some. Switzerland is a beautiful place to live and I am very much enjoying it after being in London for 10 years.

Here are the reorganized charts as requested, please let me know if you need anything else.

Need you to zoom in closer on the CAs. You won't be able to get them all included.
See what my example looks like and then look at yours. See the difference?

Try this...go to the Events tab...then the CA folder and click on it. In the CA folder you will see all the Centrals/CAs flagged listed by time.
Pick one that has a couple of flags very close to the timing of the one you picked....click on it....see the graph change on the right??? that's the level of zooming I mean.

Now one more picture zooming in at the same level only this time the flow rate immediately preceding that 00:29:20 so that only the first CA is shown on the far right. Want to see your breathing right before that first CA in the cluster.

Those all look like post arousal CA flags to me...especially that first one at 00:29:40
See that big gulp of air at 00:29:20....that's an arousal breath or awake/semi awake breath. That's not an asleep breath.

I tried autoset but it doesn't work too, I tried a lot of different setting but it doesn't help, it seems like for me nasal resistance is the culprit, to see if you have too much nasal resistance, try cottle's maneuver, pull out both your cheek to the side to make your nostrils bigger, then see if you have sudden feeling of wakefulness and energy. then you can see doctor abt this, there's a device that help dilate your nasal valve

With the most recent image above I can't tell if you were asleep or not from what is shown.
You have the 00:29 on the left side graph and showing breathing after it....I was wanting to see breathing before the first flagged CA and not after it.

So the 00:29:40 flagged event should have been on the far right side of the graph so that I could see what was happening before that first CA flag.

One more zoomed in screen shot but this time let's pick a time frame where nothing is happening.
How about 20:30? Same scale as this last screen shot.

20:30 looks like nice boring asleep breathing to me.

23:00 looks like anything but nice asleep breathing to me. Looks like crappy sleep breathing to me. Now why....million dollar question since nothing really going on around it that we can see.

Anything going on with you that could maybe disturb your sleep in some way?

When is the last time you had a chat with your doctor about these results?
The centrals aren't numerous enough to get most doctors attention (need 5 per hour average..every night) even if they were real but I suspect a good portion of them reflect poor sleep quality more than you just not breathing.

I stumbled across a good article the other day that explained by good sleep quality/architecture is so important to how we feel during the day. Now why it specifically is talking about the effects of alcohol on sleep quality it doesn't have to be alcohol...it can be anything that affects sleep quality.

So even if you never drink...read it because it explains why the body needs good sleep quality and keep in mind that anything that messes with out sleep in turn messes with how we feel.
For me it's pain...for others it might be any number of things.

I wonder if you feel like crap because your sleep is like crap and sleep apnea isn't the only reason in the world that people have crappy sleep quality.
Have you taken a stroll through the entire flow rate graph zoomed in to see how much crappy sleep segments you might see?
Do you know how to do that....just start at the beginning of the night.....zoom in to the scale above and then use the arrow key on your keyboard to scroll through the flow rate more smoothly than hit or miss zooming in individually.

Hi Pugsy,

Once again apologies for the late reply, busy life!

I do have a glass of wine most evenings with dinner, nothing else is really going on that I can pin on poor sleep quality other than the usual of a hectic life.

I will go through in more detail and see what I can come up with, I will get this sleep thing down!
