there is no need to switch the time on any cpap device as the time will adjust on its own

Yeah, because unless you're trying to match up the data with an oximeter, or a camera recording your sleep, it doesn't matter what the time stamp on the data is.

You couldn't possibly be any more wrong.

There may be an auto setting CPAP out there, but I've never heard of one.

I find this curious since most all cell phones today get their date & time from the cell phone network.

The technology might be out there for cpap machines to auto adjust the clock but they aren't doing it yet.
And what would people do that are in an area with poor cell service? Or someone that travels a lot and might be in a situation where it might cause data to need to be written to the machine in a time frame that already has data in it. The machine won't do it.
Like PR....if there is a cpap/whatever pap machine out there that can auto adjust the clock I haven't heard of it.

And even then, adjusting to the cell network time is only something that cell phones *can* do, (there's a setting). Why cpaps don't do that? no idea.

I wish *everything* did. (yes, I despise my microwave... it refuses to do *anything* before the time, AND *DATE* is set... and it never ... EVER uses the date... but some 'bright spark' at frigidaire thought it'd be 'clever' to make setting the time and the *date* in a *microwave* mandatory.. (yeah, I can't even warm anything up until punching in all those numbers). I didn't buy it, if I had, I'd have taken it right back as soon as I discovered that "feature".

This technology has been around for a while. Probably wouldn't work in this application though and not worth the added cost but does not require a cellular network.

Also isn't that reliable, I've got a radio clock that occasionally sets itself to odd years, or times, depending on radio glitching.

Dang! I'm glad I don't have that microwave. I don't even bother to set the time on my microwave, which is good since we have an occasional power outage. I have found that sometimes my phone or my ipod touch will set the wrong time. And I have to manually set it.

My cpap is actually set for 3-4 hours off, depending on the time of the year. Since I sleep past noon, and I want my "night's" data to show as one night, I changed the machine's time. And I am fine with that. I just know when reviewing my data that I need to adjust the time in my mind.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

Theose devices that set themselves--I use as reference when resetting the rest.
Cpap is the one thing that NEVER gets reset. No reason to do that.

Also not worth adding if it ends up going away next year anyway.
