I find it interesting that the sleep tech/doc wanted to put me on a CPAP at 15 constant pressure. (I guess in his defense, at least he put sometime into it actually looking at the sleep report, etc instead of doing the ultra lazy 4/20 BS I see often)... That said, I'm so glad I found this forum and could read up quickly. I was able to get him to let me have an APAP and we originally settled on a 10/15 setting. I have since changed it to 9/15 and it's been pretty solid.
My AHI over this time has gone from almost 120 at my first sleep study to 0.49. Average pressure is 10.16, with the max ever being only 14.16. It makes me wonder if my titration study was bad. Sure there are nights where I fall asleep on the chair downstairs and don't get up in time to be compliant, but even when that happens and I only get 2 or 3 hours of machine sleep, I still feel leaps and bounds better than I did in June and July when no matter how much sleep I got I was dead tired.
For those wondering, from Oct 4-15 I was in/traveling to Thailand, so that is why those times are way off. I did fall asleep (perhaps passed out is a better term
For those also wondering about using it on a airplane. I did both ways. Outbound I slept 4h54m from about 0410 to 0905 local time and had an AHI of 0. (I took a nap the night before and tried to stay up as long as I could). Returning I slept for 4h56m 0505 to 1001 (home time zone) and had an AHI of 0.2. I was in business outbound and first home so that certainly helped.
Thanks so much for the initial welcome and all the help!
