Mako Infineer DT3500 card reader

Post by WakefulDead » Sat Oct 27, 2018 12:47 pm

Anyone have one of these readers that they would like to sell at a reasonable cost? I am attempting to preserve the existing data from my M Series Respironics before upgrading to a new machine. Just need to do a one time transfer of the information. Thanks.

What have you been using up till now?
And, for how long have you been "collecting" the data?
If you haven't been downloading your card every 7 days up till now, you won't have much detailed data to "preserve". Those cards only hold 7 days (sessions) of DETAILED data (then it converts it to "compliance" information) and about 320 days of "compliance" data.

Also, do you have a version of Encore Pro with which to download it?
Without that, you won't have much need for a card reader.

Initially, I was getting the compliance reports through my health care provider. Since my compliance was at nearly 100%, I was switched to yearly visits and eventually I stopped going altogether. I have probably have more than five years of use without any download of this information. I understand the detail information may not be there, but would like to preserve any summary information that may be on there. I figured it may be useful to have in case I need to change life insurance coverage or otherwise prove continued compliance over the longer term. I downloaded the Encore Basic and have an older Windows 7 machine that I can install it on. Would that, along with a reader, be sufficient to pull off whatever information may be available on the card? Thanks.

The best you could hope for is summary information for the most recent 365 nights.
Whatever very limited data the machine itself holds in its internal memory. Those old M series machines simply didn't store much in its memory.

Like I said, the card will only hold 7 days/nights of detailed data and about 320 days/nights of summary/compliance data.
From my occasional use of Encore Basic years ago ( version 1.0 ), it didn't save the data to a data base and only produced the reports from those individual downloads. I stuck with Encore Pro version 1.6.22 since that's the last version that would work with the "MyEncore" software that was designed by one of the members of the forum......"Derek".

I'm not sure what drivers would be needed with Windows 7 ( 32 bit or 64 bit? ) and whichever version of Encore Basic you have, but there are some places where the drivers can be downloaded if necessary.

Right now, it appears that cpap.com is the only place that has the smart card reader (that I can find).

Below is the summary report available using Encore
and below that one of the detailed reports that you can only get the most recent 7 nights of usage.
I am going to be honest here...I wouldn't put much effort or money into doing all this just for these reports.
Kinda water under the bridge that doesn't matter much now and won't be long before you have enough current data for people to review if they want to see how you are doing or prove you used the machine.

And to be honest...if someone just HAD to see the old data for some unknown reason... I would let getting that data be their problem since they want it so bad.

I changed PCs a lot years ago and installing the Encore software was always a pain for me. Weird drivers required for the card reader, and some strange Windows-related software, too - stuff I never heard of the related, I think, to the database requirements. The last time I tried it, several years ago, I just gave up....

I had Encore working and then it stopped, popped a database error and shut down. Even when it was working, the timestamps were all wrong.
