DreamMapper. Is this worth the effort?
DreamMapper. Is this worth the effort?
I know Sleepyhead is the standard here and I intend to get there but at present I’m not able to so I thought I would hook up the app for the Phillips Dreammaker.
After downloading and pairing via Bluetooth, it seems that there is no data being transferred. I’ve been using this for two weeks so I was curious what was there.
I’m sure others have used this, any suggestions on functionality? I’m not gonna waste much time on it because it looks like the info provided is pretty limited but until we buy a family computer that I can load sleepyhead on (Christmas most likely), I thought I’d give it a try.
Thanks
Graham

Did you pair it via the app or just your phone's Bluetooth settings? Your serial number needs to be entered in the app and paired that way.

Paired via the app, scanned the serial number etc.
Thanks for the reply. If you got it to work is the info good?

You get AHI, time used, mask fit %, Min/max/90% pressure.
A little limited info, but it is super easy to update once it works. It took quite a bit of messing around: deleting bt connection, uninstalling app, rebooting phone, etc. One annoying thing is it does update via Bluetooth every time you open it. Every. Time.

It took 2 trys for me to get it to pair. The info is basic. It gives you your AHI number. It shows the number of clear airway events, number of obstructive events, and the number of hypoapena's. It will show usage hours and leak rate percentage. It is okay for a quick daily check.

Re: DreamMapper. Is this worth the effort?
I have had my new machine for 2 weeks and this app is buggy as hell on my Pixel 2. Frequently times out on Bluetooth sync. Sometimes when it does sync 100% it then tells me no data found when I just got up. Deleting the app and reinstalling it seems to get it straightened out. Till the next day or two. Rinse and repeat.
Worked ok this morning but I would say half the time it doesn't sync and download my data.
I can see me uninstalling it permanently soon.
Maybe pick up a SD card that has Wifi built in and just download my numbers into Sleepyhead. Honestly though after a few months I am likely not to look at my numbers daily or even weekly anyway.

Works fine on my iPhone. If you have trouble, delete the bluetooth pairing from your phone and try again.

Re: DreamMapper. Is this worth the effort?
I was able to get it to work. Pretty minimal data but sort of cool. I’ve been trying to find a mask I like and went back to the nasal mask from pillows and it is nice to see that it seems to be fitting well.
AHI for the first night was below 1 which is great. Last night it was about 2 but we had several beers and I know my sleep wasn’t good.
Thank you all for the advice. It did work after a reload. Probably won’t use it much but may look after a few weeks to see what my average AHI is. That’s about all i can see it being good for.

Worked again today. I will try deleting the paring if it messes up again. I have been deleting the app and reinstalling it. Gets old fast.biztraveler wrote: ↑Sat Oct 27, 2018 8:59 amWorks fine on my iPhone. If you have trouble, delete the bluetooth pairing from your phone and try again.
