Hi all,
Hope you're all well.
I'm now in my second week of using my Cpap.
I have a full face mask because sometimes sleep with my mouth open and snore, so hospital recommended a full face mask.
Im still finding this mask uncomfortable on the bridge of my nose, and leaks into my eyes drying them out.
I need a full face still, but can anyone suggest one that doesn't have too sit all the way to the bridge.
I'm in the UK so if anyone knows of any suppliers also please let me know.
Thanks
Pat x

Also note that many of us who use nasal pillows also tend to breathe through our mouths when we sleep. I am one of those mouth breathers and was having a very hard time adapting to a full face mask. I currently use a soft cervical collar to keep my chin from dropping when I sleep - that makes it possible for me to use the Airfit P10 nasal pillow which really only touches your face at the nostrils (well occasionally it brushes my philtrum). Other approaches to keep the mouth closed includes using a Scunci (sp?), a chin strap, or taping your mouth closed.

The ResMed F30 may not be available yet in the UK but the Respironics DreamWear Full Face Mask should be available now.
I suggest you give it a try....I have the same issues with anything touching my nasal bridge area so I simply use something that doesn't.
Now I am lucky in that I don't just have to use a full face mask so that opens up my choices but if I just had to use a full face mask it would be the DreamWear Full Face Mask. It's an improved version of the Amara View IMHO.
Plus if you ever get in a situation where you want to try the nasal interface the frame works with the nasal interfaces available and you don't need to buy a total new mask package...just need headgear and the nasal interface of your choice.
Here's a good video on the product so you can see it in action. Just ignore the ads....Jason does a lot of videos that are really good and it costs money to do them and those ads help him pay the bills.

Is suggest reexamining the assumption that you need a full face mask. Perhaps you really do, but I suggest that you make sure that this is the case. Many who report "mouth breathing" will stop doing so when the flow through the nose is adequate.
While some patients do need FF masks, and a good fit is possible, nasal masks are just easier to fit.

I don't currently need a ffm; but that does look like a great option if/when I do. Some other good info on the video too. Thanks for sharing.Pugsy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 26, 2018 7:59 amThe ResMed F30 may not be available yet in the UK but the Respironics DreamWear Full Face Mask should be available now.
