Dreamstation and Cellular Modem on second hand machines

Post by WakefulDead » Thu Oct 25, 2018 1:53 pm

Anyone familiar with second hand machines and compliance functions with the cellular modem? If I purchase a second hand machine that was setup to monitor the original owner's use via the cellular modem, how can I disable/change that? Short of pulling the modem out, is there a way to reconfigure the machine so the compliance information is transmitted to my account instead of the original owner's account? Also, does a factory reset remove all of the settings that may route the info into the original owner's account?

Any guidance or documentation on how this can be setup or the steps to take with a second hand machine would be appreciated. Thanks.

All the machine does is say "hey, this is machine sn 909969862, here's some data!

So, no, there's nothing in the machine.

That machines SN has to be tied to your account on their end.

Accounts to put on the foe list: dataq1, clownbell, gearchange, lynninnj, mper!?, DreamDiver, Geer1, almostadoctor, sleepgeek, ajack, stom, mogy, D.H., They often post misleading, timewasting stuff.

Thanks. If that SN is already tied to someone else's account, can I as the new owner, now assign that SN to my account? Thanks.

By "their", I mean Philips, I'm sure there's some way to get them to change who the machine is linked to, but I ha e no idea what's involved.
