I should have done this earlier but did not have time. I know that Respironics had made some magnetic clips for the Amara View mask but I could not find them for sale. I finally decided to make some as I find the talon type clips for the Amara view awkward and noisy. I made a pair from the magnetic clips for the Wisp mask, inserting them into Amara View clips.
I bought a pair of Amara View clips and Wisp magnetic clips. I cut the spines off the back of the Amara View clips and cut the back of the Wisp frame portion even with the cylindrical body. I then drilled holes in the Amara clip up to 3/8" and expanded them some more with a razor knife. I cut them big enough for the body of the Wisp clip but not the lip. I then placed the Amara clip in a cup of boiled water to soften it and then was able to snap the Wisp clip into the Amara View clip. I then trimmed the excess off of the Amara View clip with a knife. The modified clips then snap on to the Amara View frame as usual and I just placed the Wisp clip strap section onto the Amara View headgear. The magnetic clips are now much easier to strap on and off of the Amara View and it seems to work well. I do not anticipate having to use any glue as the Wisp clips are securely snapped into the Amara clip.
This cost $15 to buy the two pairs of clips but I would have paid more to get them. I can't think of a reason why Respironics would not just sell these. See pics below.
