Not a fan of Bailey's--took me a year to finish one bottle.

I am fine with that also...more for me. When I make the homemade Irish Creme..does good to last 2 weeks and its a bit stouter than the Bailey's. And I always make enough to fill to Bailey's bottles.palerider wrote: ↑Wed Aug 22, 2018 8:55 pmI'm fine with that... more for mechunkyfrog wrote: ↑Wed Aug 22, 2018 8:41 pmNot a fan of Bailey's--took me a year to finish one bottle.

Just had a flashback to my time in the Army at a local German bar... Someone tried a "Brain": A double-shot glass of Peach Schnapps with a glob of Baileys floating in it - looked like a chunk of brain floating in formaldehyde. We tried one and immediately ordered a tray of them. They were *way* too tasty and went down *far* too easy. It was the perfect drink to go with a laser-riddled, European, techno-rock bar back in the 80's for some American GI's trying to blend in. Those brains most definitely did *not* make us any smarter...Pugsy wrote: ↑Wed Aug 22, 2018 9:38 pmI am fine with that also...more for me. The PR System One BiPAP AVAPS is probably the most similar. I've gotten that manual from Apnea Board before. The only difference between the machines is that the AVAPS machine has AVAPS, and also pressure control (PC) therapy mode, which may or may not be applicable to the OP. The A40 is a more advanced ventilator with portability (5 hour battery capability) and also has the Auto-EPAP capability. The comfort settings for the BiPAP S/T and BiPAP AVAPS should be identical.Pugsy wrote: ↑Wed Aug 22, 2018 7:01 pmSo can you explain the difficulty more specifically as to what the problem is with the machine and your breathing pattern that makes it so hard to sleep with the machine?
Go here and request the clinical/provider manual for your machine.
Let's see exactly what your options might be to tweak some settings that might make things more comfortable but we need to know what the problem is first to try to figure out what might be changed.
I am not familiar with that machine and the various settings available to maybe get the machine more in sync with your own respiration pattern.
So get the manual and go into the clinical setup menu area and write down all the settings and options you see.

The manual will explain how....and what some of those settings will do.
I think either this manual
Respironics PR System One BiPAP AVAPS
or this one
Respironics PR System One BiPAP A40
Not sure exactly but should get us close.
I wrote a post earlier in this thread. The OP needs to list these settings, as they are most helpful to examine/potentially alter, and relating to 'matching the patient to the machine'. As I mentioned, the triggering and cycling are automatically adjusted by the machine - no user tinkering is allowed.

I had more fun playing with rise time myself when using this type of machine. I could make it match my respiration pattern fairly easily.raisedfist wrote: ↑Thu Aug 23, 2018 7:02 amI wrote a post earlier in this thread. Yes, I know you already asked for the settings and the OP has failed to give them to us. We can't even remotely have a chance to help if the OP can't help us help her by giving us more information as to exactly what the problem is and what the current settings are.
I was hoping by mentioning it again and pointing to the manual so she knew how to get to the settings area that we could get those needed settings to start with. We can't fix a problem if we don't know what the problem is.

OK,
First, I just want to thank you guys for the help, I logged in and took pictures of the current settings, is there anything I can change to allow me to breathe all night and not get out of time with the machine, that is my issue, I wake up trying to breathe in and it is making me breathe out, and I am at a different pace than the machine.

Re: PLEASE HELP BIPAP not staying in nsync ;) with me helllppppp
Turn on rise time and try the available setting choices to see if one setting works better with your respiration pattern.

Since you're in Spontaneous (S) mode, both backup rate and inspiratory time (Ti) do not apply. That means you have rise time left to fiddle with.
