Most comfortable full-face mask 2018?

Post by TheChuckster » Mon Aug 13, 2018 7:37 am

I'm trying to help my mother who has sleep apnea and is so tired that she really needs help but is having a lot of trouble using CPAP.

What is the most comfortable full face mask? Or at least a good one?

Fit/leaks are an issue, as well as comfort.

I used Quattro FX back in the day before switching to a dental appliance, but I think there might be newer ones that are even better?

I agree with Bill...There are about 12-15 FF masks and you will find that each is someone's favorite. I have 2...The Mirage Quattro and the F&P Simplus. Go to cpap.com and look at the pictures and comments.

I prefer the Dreamwear FFM, and my wife prefers the regular F20. She liked the Air Soft F20, but had trouble getting it to seal when her pressure went over 15 cm. I also liked the regular F20 and had problems getting it to seal at higher pressures.

Check out the reviews on the forum sponsor's site, CPAP.com. You'll find that while the masks vary inpopularity, every mask has someone who loves it and someone who it didn't work for at all.

The ResMed F20 seems to work well for a lot of people. It seals well for me. And the Dreamwear Full face is comfortable and works well if you can get it to seal. But it's all very individual. It takes trying different masks. So a DME that can fit your mom (Kasiser, my HMO does mask fittings, too) or a company like CPAP.com that has "return insurance" on certain masks will be really helpful to you.
