Are these two DC CPAP cords for DreamStation the same?

Post by mileena » Mon Aug 06, 2018 11:01 pm

I am perplexed. TheCPAPShop.com is selling what appear to be two identical cords for different prices:

$19.99:

$25.00:

Will either of these work with this Freedom travel battery I just bought:

I believe the first cord is for past older model machines and the shielded cord is for the DreamStation.

and this one specifically for the DreamStation

https://www.cpap.com/productpage/pr-dre ... -cord.html

I am not sure what "shielded" means or how it is different.

I have no idea if it will work with the Freedom battery. Sorry. This power stuff causes my eyes to glaze over.

But the DreamStation is absent from the list of compatible machines. Other Respironics machines yes but the DreamStation is not listed.
At the link you posted they mention that it might work with other machines if you get a special type of something. Again the DreamStation is not listed except for only the travel size DreamStation Go.

Thanks Pugsy for your help! I think you are right about how the first cord must be for older Respironics machines.

But we're going to find out Friday when my 12V DC shielded cord for DreamStation arrives!

Yep, you are right! I did not read the ads closely the first time. Good thing I ordered the second one (the shielded one) for my DreamStation, but from a different supplier for a little less money.
