Dreamstation Backlight Settings?

If you set the auto/on on a Dream Station machine, the machine comes on when you put on the mask without the light going on. I assume that auto/off does the same (I don't use auto/off). Note that on the DreamStation machines, auto/on and autooff can be enabled separately.

To see what firmware you are running, from the main screen, view My Provider. The first screen "Device" shows the Software version.
Prior to the update I was running 1.0.6.
I just updated the machine to 1.1.1.

Hello, where do I obtain the 1.1.1 firmware? Note: I am very technically inclined and know the dos and don'ts of firmware updates - especially for sensitive things like medical devices.

Mine is on 1.05 and the backlight issue drives me crazy.

Our very helpful member emailed me the update - if you PM me your email address, I'll forward it on.
Installation is VERY easy (the machine pretty much did it itself).
Of course, I am not an IT expert and there remains the risk to the machine - however it worked very well for me (and the other user).

Karen sells a blackout piece for the DreamStation at padacheek. It works well.

tracked down the firmware update, problem solved! Just silly that the ambient light sensor didn’t work to begin with. Software developers.. smh.
