Dreamstation vs. PR System One on battery?

Post by JohnO » Wed Jul 18, 2018 8:19 am

Greetings All,

I've got a camping trip next week. Last night I charged up my trusty battery that I've used in the past with my Philips Respironics System One. I plugged it into my new Philips Respironics Dreamstation, and received a message on the display to "Check Power." The manual states I have an incompatible power supply connected. Did PR add some smarts to check the power feed? I confirmed this still powers the PR System One just fine, and I checked the power output with a multimeter, and power looks healthy.

From reading other threads, it looks like the addition of this cable should solve my issue. Just curious if others have run into this issue and can confirm this will work before I order it.

Thanks!

John

Respironics apparently added something to require the special DC cord with the DreamStation but I don't understand what it was or why.

You will need to get that special cord or just use the System One on your trip....assuming you still have the System One in your possession.

I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

If you want to try the Eclipse mask and want a special promo code to get a little off the price...send me a private message.

Thanks Pugsy,

Since I have to show my data to the FAA every year, it works best if I can use one machine throughout the year, so I'll buy the cable. Thanks for the confirmation!

Thanks,

John

The cable arrived, tested it with my battery last night. All good!

Thanks again, Pugsy, for the quick and correct answer!
