Hi all,
My husband and I both recently got a cpap unit. We love camping and are wondering what is out there to run the cpap while travelling.
Thanks for the feedback!
As noted, we need to know your needs to further advise. In the mean time, there's some light reading to peruse at the link in my sig.
Thank you!

I was car/ tent camping last weekend. I purchased a “centech 3 in 1 power pack”. It easily powered my Phillips remstar system one for two nights. Also numerous cell phones were plugged in and charged. I paid $49.95 at harbor freight. Also I had to get a 12 volt cord off eBay. It was $10.00 or so. Very happy with the harbor Freight battery set up. It has an LED light built in!
Sounds great, thanks for the tip!

17 AH 12 volt nominal sealed lead-acid battery, in the Centech 3 in 1.

That’s 1 Amp for 17 hours, or 17 Amps for one hour (less the Peukert Effect); or and product of Amps and hours equaling 17 AH.

If a nominal night is 7 hours, then ~2½ ‘nights’ at 1 Amp. Mine AS10 draws 4 Amps normally, as high as 10 Amps
Thank you!

This unit has a 17 Amp-hour battery which should easily run a basic pump (without humidity) for two nights, and you might get three. Centech won't win any prizes for quality, but at this price its a fair deal. The charge time seems long (though its does take a long time to really top off) so I'm thinking its a pretty weak charger - no problem if you don't need a quick turnaround.

If you tried to make this with basic components it would cost more, though you might have a better battery, and certainly have a better charger with a BatteryTender.

JamesBond007: if you get the ResMed pump you mentioned earlier, you'll need an $85 DC converter. If you get a Philips, its a $30 DC cord.
Thank you!
