Bad pillow?

Post by Barbee » Sun Jul 08, 2018 8:28 am

I changed my pillow on my F20 about 2 weeks ago. I just have not been able to get this new pillow to seal properly. Leaking pretty much everywhere and waking me up. I tried washing it, i washed my headgear, and played with the straps constantly. Last night, I threw it in the trash and got a spare out. Back to normal. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

According to ResMed, that foam pillow should be replaced every 30 days and cannot be washed. Regular silicone pillows last many months and wash easily.

I wash my pillow when it starts to leak and can usually get an extra 2 weeks use out of it by doing that. Sometimes 3 weeks. This one was horrible from the time it came out of the package. I’m hoping this was just a fluke. If not, I may try something different.

It can happen. I have several F&P Simplus cushions and they are all not made the same.

When I was using the F20 mask, I would get three months or more out of a cushion. The cushion my wife is currently using is over three months old and is working just fine.

They're no worse than any other 'medical' company, at least they make quality products.

Softest nasal pillows ever.
Got to say that.
My nose is grateful.

I wash the cushions every Monday morning. I clean the strap pads, mask frame, head gear and water chamber once a month (first Monday of the month).

Interesting. Maybe I will wash this one more often ans see if it lasts longer. Ever get a dud?
