Cpap & Sinuses

Post by tleighc74 » Sat Jun 09, 2018 12:06 pm

Has anyone had issues that have been brought on by the Cpap with dryness and then congestion and if so..do you have suggestions on how to remedy?

I have been on my Cpap for almost a year...no problems...all was good until the weather changed...and it has been downhill from there trying to adjust hose, humidifier, room...etc...I feel like I am on a merry go round...I am 100% compliant with my machine...and want it to work properly with my nose...but this is getting to be a constant problem and it is driving me crazy! HELP!!!

Any suggestions are much appreciated...I know I can not be alone in this...I guess I am wanting this to be an easy fix...I know it might not be, but I will try anything. Thank you!

Hi, it's not clear what the problem(s) is - too much or too little humidity - if what you used in winter was good, then adjust for spring/summer accordingly (more hum. or less) and get checked out for seasonal allergies. Too much hum. can cause congestion if not needed by prevailing climate depending on the season and you need to experiment to see what works when. But do make one change at a time and give each a few days to come to some consensus before making new changes (however impatient you are) or playing with many variables for a day at a time, through dry sun and wet days will not tell you much.
