Resmed Airsense 10

Post by glutide » Fri Jun 01, 2018 8:04 am

Looking for suggestions. I know I have sleep apnea based on my symptoms. My doctor wanted me to get a sleep study done but based on my insurance, it was going to cost me $1,500. I bought a Resmed Airsense 10 because of the autoset mode but do not know what pressure to set the unit. I am a little worried about using the unit without knowing my pressure. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.

I would suggest a modest pressure range just to see what the machine might want to do and get you accustomed to using the mask and machine.
Then use available software to evaluate the results and make adjustments as needed.

Software
https://sleep.tnet.com/equipment

Clinical/provider manual in case you don't have one so you know all about your machine
https://sleep.tnet.com/home/files/resme ... -guide.pdf

Settings......
Auto mode
Minimum pressure 6
Maximum pressure 12
Turn EPR on full time and set it to 3...or whatever is comfortable for you.
Humidity...auto if you got the heated hose and middle of the settings if no heated hose.
In the clinical set up menu find "Essentials" and change it from ON to PLUS so you can see at a glance the data available on the sleep report if you want to look but do get SleepyHead software because there's a lot more available using software than you can see on the LCD screen sleep report.

Thanks! My girlfriend is worried that something is going to happen to me while using it because I have not gotten a sleep study done.
