Purchased a used S10

Post by lcook7281 » Mon Mar 26, 2018 4:28 pm

I purchased a used S10 and did not know that to have it changed over to me the original owner needs to release the serial number. Is there a way to override this in the software? I am not sure I can find the people I purchased this from.

Do you mean so that your doctor or DME can view your information in AirView? Or so that you can use MyAir if it's already registered to someone else there? Either way I don't think there's any way to override it if it's registered to someone else but maybe your doctor or DME can contact ResMed about it and check with them.

I'm not sure there's a lot that anyone can do about it though if the original owner hasn't done anything about it and you can't get in touch with them.

I agree...you don't need the serial number for anything except MyAir...It' doesn't give you anything you can't see on the LCD screen. Use Sleepyhead. The serial number may have been registered for warranty purposes. You don't have a warranty when you buy a machine used.

He would need it for MyAir if he chooses to use it, and his doctor and/or DME might need it if they want to track his data wirelessly.

The serial number just needs to be re-registered to you and you can't do it. That's something only a doctor or DME can do.
It is only needed if you want to use MyAir though.
If you just want the data off the machine or use software yourself...it's not needed.

True, but I'm pretty sure it's also needed for the DME/doctor to access data in AirView (if they use it, that is).

Well of course it is needed for a DME or doctor to access MyAir and if the did the registering they would have that information wouldn't they?

The question was "how to get the ownership registration transferred". We assume so that MyAir online data would be available to someone and I assume the patient since no one else was mentioned.
No mention as to DME or doctor wanting anything or not.
Doesn't matter....the ownership can only be changed by a the DME or doctor who has an established relationship with ResMed.
ResMed doesn't consider the patient their customer....they consider DMEs and doctors their customers.

Because of how everything happened when they redid my sleep study I am not sure the “actual” data they got is mine. They have me owning cats, my age is a year off, and they recorded that I didn’t take a sleeping pill that night.

They had me discontinue my use of my cpap because they questioned the first study and whether or not it was needed. I was diagnosed with UARS at that time.

In December I was told to resume usage. I have had some difficulty becoming readjusted to it. And the same nasty bug has visited me 4 times and two trips out of state in which I did not pack my machine. So my compliance is in the tubes. I was hoping someone could use the air view so they could see that I am using it my minimum hours as I fight to be come adjusted to it again.

All this so my insurance will pay for supplies. I am generally obedient in orders from the doc. Even if it isn’t really me.
My primary care doc is more concerned that the low oxygen was never addressed. And when I mentioned it to the sleep doc he said the machine would fix it—-it is not.

Your 'contributions' are not helpful.

Find and download resscan compliance information can be gained from the machine without myair

Or the onscreen reports will also show compliance I see no need for my air.

Sleepyhead will show the same information but us not approved for compliancy also if you don't have an SD card in the machine get one and start optimising your treatment
