Mmm. Just got a call from my provider (DME). She said they have set my Dreamstation to 13 cm fixed at hospital request. I've had it on auto 6-20 cm for the last few weeks and getting AHI anywhere from 3-8. Mostly 7-8. OSA getting up 20 times a night a few times. Provider seems to think that's acceptable. I asked her if she would like to stop breathing for more than 10 seconds 20 times a night and see if she's had a good night sleep.
pretty disappointing when the hospital has to tell her what to do. Been trying to get that fixed setting since I saw her last time. She obviously has ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA

I don't know about where you live, but here in the U.S., the DME can't change the pressure settings without an order from the doctor.

Find out what models the hospital give out, if it takes a sd and gives the data you are getting now, it won't be an issue to then self adjust then. When do you go back and see the doctor? I assume you are having a follow up appointment.

My sister in qld did it the same way you are. Only she had to buy the hose and mask and pay $100 for the month trial privately, then go back to the hospital, showing the data that that she has and will use it.

They will only allow CPAP fixed and it's only Philips. They gave me an auto model but I got blasted for changing to auto even though I was getting 30 AHI on the 9 cm fixed setting. The sleep specialist read 1 paragraph of the sleep study report to get the setting of 9 cm fixed from. When further on in the report it clearly states that titration was not successful.

With readings like that it was pretty much useless to use it. I changed to 12-20 cm auto which I was getting about 5 AHI on but they changed it to 6-20 cm which i was getting getting between 4-8 AHI none of which is ideal at all and my general wakeful state has not improved much at all since I got the machine on December 19.

Just waiting for dreammapper data to upload to check my first night setting at 13 cm fixed. Oh. And. After telling me yesterday that they had changed the setting when I got it started last night it was still on auto at 6-20 cm and I had to change it manually myself to the 13 cm fixed setting so whatever they did didn't work.

This is a screenshot of last nights data from dreammapper. Still not ideal. I'd like to be seeing AHI levels regularly under 2 but I've never achieved that yet Image
