A quick poll. Temp setting u use with s9 / s10 heated tube?

Post by feeling_better » Wed Dec 20, 2017 2:02 pm

I have been using 70 or so for a long time. But one of Pugsy's post of an example setting from the mfr website had the blue line (implying kind of a typical setting) at 81F !!! So now I am curious...

Unless we were going to sleep in your bedroom, how should we choose. Jim

I'm in CA. Winter time 80F and in Summer, around 70F. It depends on where you live and the temp in your bedroom.

Winter...80 to 86 depends on how cold the bedroom gets which depends on how cold it gets outside.
Summer...as low as it will go which is 66 or something in that area.

Humidity...set at 6 sometimes or on "auto" sometimes...most of the time at 6 though. My nose doesn't like change so I try to keep the moisture level consistent.

Only have been using APAP a month, but setting mine at 68 or 69 degrees. I like the cool breeze...makes the mask feel less enclosed. Humidity set at 4.
May move up a degree or so, as it finally is getting cold here in Arizona.

One additional variable: do you route the hose under the covers or outside?

I wouldn't be worrying about what was common or normal or average per the ResMed website.
Too many variables involved to compare our house to their "house".

Use whatever makes you and your nose happy and don't worry about minor differences in what makes you happy and ResMed thinks makes "most" people happy.
