I had a follow up appointment today after my second titration study. The Dr.'s office told me I should convert my rental to purchase and here is the machine I would be buying. I objected. I asked why this machine and could they explain why it was the best one for me? The response I got was basically that they love their respironics rep and that they got a good price on this particular CPAP, they were all pretty much the same, but this was was a little lighter. I objected. I ended up purchasing the same type of machine that I had been renting because I really disliked the way the humidifier was handled in the new M series machine. The humidifier looked very awkward. Now, here I am at home, can't sleep, the new machine I ended up with is noisier than my rental was and I can here every breath I take, even though it's the exact same equipment. The only difference is they increased my pressure from 7 to 8. I have no clue what to do. I'm new to this and feel like I don't have any options. I would love some advice.
Help with choosing the best CPAP

Or Breakdown. Maybe their Rep. gives them a cut on the noisey ones? Noise doesn'yt matter much, find something else to listen to, I use nature sounds. JimJohn, RN wrote:That is very strange-the new machine same type is nosier? Maybe its got to break in?
Figure how much you are going to end up paying for it, and see if buying online is cheaper. One like mine in my sig, is a better vaule. Jim
