You know it's funny but most of the time I don't even notice a spelling error or grammar error unless someone points it out.
My mind doesn't easily spot minor errors which is maybe good because I make them all the time.
Brain thinks one thing and fingers type something else. I do it all the time and sometimes I catch it right away and sometimes I don't and later I read what I wrote and can't make any sense of it at all.. Was clear as a bell when I first wrote it though. Must be the darn aliens messing with stuff again.

So I will be the last one to ever correct an error in spelling or grammar....I can't even spot my own.

Remember those posts on the internet about reading jumbled works, I'm wired to have no trouble reading them even when backwords. My brain is wired for logic, but also has the ability to see patterns, and evidently all the crap between in. I run a Android tablet next to me to correct my spelling with Google voice input, because my spelling skill that were never too good are failing from old age. The keyboard on this laptop seems to have a mind of it's own at time too. That's all I can think of to blame it on for now.

I suffer that same problem, Pugsy. Many time I hit submit too quick, there should be a screen "Do you really want to post this" before it posts.

My position is that if the top journalists that blog for the major news outlets today don't bother to have decent grammar and spelling, why should I?

They aren't even required to have Facts, just opinions, usually with bias. Jim

Since this came up,, one of my pet peeves is correcting the spelling or mispelling, as the case may be. of someone who comes here for help with their sleep apeonia. For some of us grammor and spelling is very important. For others, not so much. This is afterall, a sleep apnea forum, and not everyone who has sleap apnea can spell or even considers it inportant. They come for help on this journey; not help with there vocabulery. Ya all got it, right?
Not only that, there are plenty of folks for whom English is not their first language or those like me who have screwed up vision that isn't fixable or them dam yankees who dun no no betah. The only time to point out such errors is when the error makes the question/answer/comment confusing.

I understand sometimes it takes a discussion to understand the meaning that someone is trying to communicate. Not necessarily pointing out errors. Although sometimes automatic speller corrections are really funny!!! And I believe they tickle everyone's funny bone. Also some of those convey very different meanings and need to be people corrected.

Maybe herding, or, my favorite, hurdling cats.

Nope! My prediction is that things are going to be better around here then they've been in years! In fact, Pugsy is going to be so bored that all she will have time for is helping people who actually need help with sleep apnea/machines/masks, etc.
