Ahi 18 with machine on!!!!

Post by Jussumguy » Fri Nov 17, 2017 10:50 am

Hi, I bought a rem star system one cpap machine on Craigslist a few months ago just to play with the idea of trying to treat myself. (I was diagnosed back in 2014 but had no support and gave up and returned the machine to the provider.) I had it set at a start of 8-ramp to 10. I was pretty happy with it but always wanted a resmed airsense 10 like I had before. I ran across a low hour machine for a couple hundred on Craigslist and bought it. It is set at a low of 7 and high of 16. The exhale relief is "on"right now. Love the new machine but feel awful now . I'm bloated, my ahi is where it was when I was untreated and I wake up over and over. I have no idea what my ahi was with the old machine as it didn't have the capability. Where do I go from here?

So what is that AHI composed of in each event category?
How much is the Central/Clear Airway Index?
How much is the Obstructive Apnea Index?
How much is the Hyponea Index?
Answers to the above questions will help in figuring out where to go next.

Are you using available software to see each category? If not, get it.

I set my new machine to the settings of my old one and I feel much better. I don't have sleepyhead because I don't have a computer. I'll ask santa for one. My AHI dropped to 12.8 per hour. Central is 5.7. Pretty cool it gives you feedback.

I'm not sure what that is but I think it was running at 9.5 cm
I left my notes in the house and I'm in the shop now
