Respironics Bipap Auto SV hour meter stopped at 19999
My Respironics Bi-Pap Auto SV hour meter stopped at 19999 last week. Does that machine stop counting at 19,999 hours?

Maybe the counter stops there as a hint to replace the machine?

Not when it still works. I can't tell for sure which machine I would need to buy now that this one has been discontinued.chunkyfrog wrote:Maybe the counter stops there as a hint to replace the machine?

The most current version of your machine in the Respironics model line is the
DreamStation AutoSV

or ResMed
AirCurve 10 ASV

Hours of use cannot be reset except at the factory level.
If it still works it really doesn't matter that the total hours are accurate or not but I would check in to what is needed to have a new machine available when/if this one decides to die.

Thanks to all for your responses.Pugsy wrote:Hours of use cannot be reset except at the factory level.

The link on the Philips page is for a "Bipap AutoSV". At cpap.com, I can only find a "Bipap Auto". I don't believe these are the same machine, but I'm not sure. Other sites list the AutoSV for quite a bit more that the Auto here, so I really don't think they're the same. Does anybody know for sure?
For what it's worth, I have an identical backup / travel machine with about 1000 hours on it, so I am prepared when this one dies. It's probably time to swap them out and start traveling with the older one and let it take the abuse of travel.

Cpap.com doesn't carry your model machine. The one you saw is just a regular Bipap Auto...can't do the special ASV stuff.
Should you ever be in the market...check secondwindcpap.com.
They will often have gently used or sometimes new open box zero hour ASV machines of various models in the Respironics and ResMed brand which is pretty much it in terms of who makes the ASV machines.

Mine did too I've had mine sense Oct. 2008. You can reset it. Hold down on your right arrow and silent button at the same time to access the administration menu, then use the arrow button till you see your hours. Press on the ramp then heat button back and forth and you will see your hours go back to 0.0
