Folks,
I'm finally getting around to doing some long delayed editing on my SleepyHead User Guide over at apneaboard.com. It's quite a project as those of you who have ever looked at it might guess.
There are things that I'm going to need feedback on from time to time, and I want to post those things here at cpap.com as well as over there. If you want to make suggestions, please take the time to wander over to apneaboard and post something over there rather than here: I don't need to be juggling multiple threads over multiple sites full of "Can you also do this?" comments.
I am posting here today because I'm lazy and I don't know how the SH 1.0.0-beta-2 install process works on WINDOWS machines.
Is it pretty much "follow the instructions"?
Does SH 1.0.0-beta-2 for Windows still have the same OpenGL and BrokenGL versions? And if so, how do you choose between them?
Finally, does SH 1.0.0-beta-2 for Windows create a shortcut link for the Start Menu, the Desktop, and/or the Task Bar?
Thanks,
Robysue

Re: I'm updating SH Guide; questions about install on Windows
I just installed SleepyHead the other day. I found a link somewhere....followed the link, then the instructions and installed it. Very easy.
here are some screen shots of the page. the second one is to capture some instructions at the bottom

I don't remember if I saw the Open GL and Broken GL versions. I went online just now and looked and didn't see anything. Was it in the installation part of the process? If I did see it, I just guessed - after all what could go wrong.
I didn't get the option to create a shortcut link for the Start Menu, but that may have been determined by the choices I made. Mostly, I just accepted the defaults, but there was one place where I had to choose what menu to include it. I chose Administrative. Don't know if it was a good choice.
Windows 10,, on the start menu showed programs recently added. I right clicked on and there was able to select "Pin to Start".

Re: I'm updating SH Guide; questions about install on Windows
The prior version of SH didn't have an installer so we had to go into the main folder and choose between Open GL or Broken GL to launch the program and we had to use that application exe file to create short cuts to the desktop, etc.
The latest version of SH 1.0.0 Beta 2 has an installer so it puts the necessary Desktop shortcut on the PC as well as puts it in the Start Menu.
You get Bob the sheep.
Now the TaskBar you have to do manually if you want SH on the TaskBar but that's super easy.
You know I thought it put the sheep on my desktop but I just now looked and don't see it but I might have accidentally removed the shortcut because I ended up putting it on my Taskbar.
At any rate it gets installed like a normal program now and if you want a shortcut and don't have one where you want it all you have to do is go to the Start Menu and make one.

Re: I'm updating SH Guide; questions about install on Windows
When I first downloaded SH some months ago, Bob the Sheep turned up in the tray, but there was no shortcut on the desktop. Then Windows 10 did an update on me, changed the name of my SD drive, and I ran into problems. (See this thread: viewtopic/t155957/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1 ... 6#p1176916) After I got SH setup again, there is no Bob in the tray, nor a shortcut on the desktop. Now I click on the Windows button, then look in the "Most used" list on the left, and click on Bob the Sheep there.
