I just got a PR DreamStation Bipap Auto and it's driving me crazy with the whine, especially on inhalation....any recommendations?

Sorry, I wasn't logged in. Haven't posted in a while (years) but really need help.
When I woke up this morning my girlfriend asked me, 'Did you sleep good?' I said 'No, I made a few mistakes.'

Is this the same machine you have been using for years and it just now starting making the unwanted noise?
Or has it been there all along but just now worse?

Are you using the humidifier with water in the chamber...sometimes that will help muffle any unwanted noise.

If it just started doing this then maybe something on the inside of the motor/blower is starting to fail. Bearing maybe..might want to check with whomever you got it from to see if it is still under warranty or if they have any ideas what to do.

New machine...first day of use. Filling water to max seemed to help a bit, but it was about 2/3 to 3/4 full when making noise.

Brand new machine....man I would take it back if it is that loud and annoying. These machines should be pretty much silent.
While it is normal to experience what I call Darth Vadar like noise from the venting and the mask....if the machine motor itself is loud then something isn't right.
Whining noise to me means a motor/machine noise and not a breathing noise. So if you are sure it is the motor then I would take it back and try a different one.
