20cm or more what mask do you use?
My Bipap pressure is 23/15 I know that is kind of high but I was curious what kind of mask people are wearing with this high of pressure. So far I have tried UMFF, Hybrid, & CF2 at 23cm leaks have been a problem.
The Breeze (a nasal pillows mask) is - according to its documentation - capable of handling up to 30.

I have had all of the masks you have listed I have used them at a pressure of 19.
I could get all of them to stay leak free by overtightening the straps.
the best mask for me is the hybrid I can wear it pretty loose compared to the others.
where do you leak with the hybrid and are you using the original wimpy headgear? My hybrid would not have worked for me until I switched the headgear with my HC431 the headgear really made all the difference.

I had a few nights in the 19-20 range with my Activa mask and don't think I had any problems. My leak data was still consistant so I think it worked ok for me. My data was good but I was experimenting quite a bit and felt awful at that time.
Now I run at 18cm/15cm and the activa definately handles that. One quick note about the mask, it does this rythmic face pump thing with the pressure changes. I don't mind it at all in straight bipap mode but it did drive me nuts when I had biflex enabled.
That is not as high as your pressure, but I figured an extra data point couldn't hurt. Good Luck!!

I did not know that a machine goes past 20CM. That is what my cpap is set at.
As for a mask I was using an Comfort Classic Gel mask by Responics
I now use a Responics Comfort 2,
With the nasal Pillow and simple cushion option. I just got it this afternoon so I will post again tomorrow abo9ut how it felt. I put it on and it felt better than that piece of junk I got from my DME
I wore the head gear for about an hour while I was checking out the nasal pillows and simple cushion and it did not bother me like the other masks I have.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
Tooly,
To answer your questions on the hybrid my leaks where at the pillows I am now using the dental floss trick learned here and that has stopped I do still have a bit of a leak on upper lip. I am still using the hybrid headgear I will change it out with some others to see what happens. It seems like the hybrid is going to be my best bet though I just need to keep trying different things with it.
Patrick,
Hats off to you sir 20cm straight cpap thats tuff . My machine Respironics Bipap auto
