Usually when two children argue, one has to have the last word, and somebody has to let it go. Egging it on and insisting on the last word is really a sign of immaturity.
Let it go. Take a break. The stress isn't going to help your heart rate at all.

You really have written "victim" all over your forehead.
Do you have by any chance a blog or are you active on some other boards. I really like reading you ... kind of a very funny way to start in the day.
Re: A certain poster....
After quoting one of my posts, this is what xxyzx has to say:
And I am not the bully here. I have not called you (or anybody else) a single derogatory name. But I have accurately quoted your posts and I've accurately described your labeling people as "libtards" as a form of bullying.
So feel free to continue calling me a "libtard bully" if you want to. But understand your calling me a "libtard" is not going to intimidate me or shut me up. And on those occasions when I see you calling people names, I will quote you and point it out. Not in an effort to silence you or to bully you or shame you. But rather to make it clear to other forum members that I do not approve of the way you are treating members of this forum.
Contrary to what you believe, I have no desire to silence you.xxyzx wrote: ========

Re: A certain poster....
.
I've been here since 2007/08. In that time I've read and participated in many threads which were nasty, dismissive, arrogant, abusive, condescending, insulting, disgusting, repugnant, vile, obnoxious, vulgar and more.
Never have I seen a thread that is more repugnant than this one. This thread is a disease which has spread like wildfire because we have allowed it. It's all consuming, and I want out of it least I catch this terminal disease which is sadly permeating the world as well as this thread. The main way to rid yourself of any disease for which there is no vaccine is to remove yourself from it, with the hope it will eventually die out. I've done that.

Hi Everybody
Every now and then I visit this Forum to see how my friends and former enemies are getting on.
When I was a regular poster I had many fights with other posters. Some of you will remember how Rooster and I did not get along. But there was an undercurrent of respect between us that never disappeared. Then there were those altercations that got into name calling, and I was likely to have been guilty at times, although I tried not to be.
There were trolls about at that time, and they were pretty easy to spot, and pretty easy to get banned from the forum. Although they would reappear under different names they eventually gave up. Maybe this banning them is no longer possible, or policy. I have no arguement with that.
I had different views from most in relation to therapy, and whilst I believe that most of us can throw (give) away our cpap machine and use positional therapy, most do not agree with me, and most are not going to see if it works for them. Again, the freedom of choice is always ours.
When we do not agree with the advice given we present our own views (knowledge etc), and leave it at that, or present further data to support what we say. If we look at the plethora of past posts we can see that respect underlines most of these posts that disagree. This is the way of a working democracy, or a working forum, that delivers the best outcome.
In today's world respect is mainly a thing of the past, on the forum as in politics. When this reaches its fruition, and chaos or authoritarianism reigns, I will be dead, and there is little I can do about it anyway.
But I have an affection for this forum that I cannot deny. Hence this post.
Getting personal in an arguement guarantees there are no winners - logic or common-sense aside. All we can ever do is to encourage people to do the right thing for them, based on our own knowledge. If we can do this with respect, then maybe the value of a back and forth discussion will produce an answer we all can be comfortable with, and the newcomer can benefit from.
Disturbing demeaning language can put people off, and prevent them from getting the help this forum can give. Dealing with it needs courage, patience and perseverance, the focus being on the help the newcomer needs.

Re: A certain poster....
You might want to learn who you are responding to. That was my second ever response to you. Both were polite. Neither included any name calling or insults. And if you were at all familiar with my posts, you would know that I am a conservative. I am very unhappy with Obamacare, and I am not liberal by any means. I have never tried to silence you. I was trying to encourage you to cut back on the baiting. Maybe you think it is fun. Clearly, some of the people responding to you think it is fun. Somebody has to be the better person and stop the insults and baiting.xxyzx wrote:=======zoocrewphoto wrote:xxyzx wrote: leave me alone

Re: A certain poster....
Don't feel bad. He calls everyone a libtard that doesn't agree with his points of view. I consider it a badge of honor. It means I'm not as loony as he is. He's clearly either off his meds or needs to be on meds.
I have to say though. I get a guilty pleasure out of reading his posts. They are just so dang entertaining!
