Just out of curiosity, do the Korean posts say anything in particular?

When I hit the 'report spam' spam button, does it just remove the offending post from my view, or does it take it off the board? Just wondering if I'd been wasting my time flagging these things in the past.

When I hit the 'report spam' spam button, does it just remove the offending post from my view, or does it take it off the board? Just wondering if I'd been wasting my time flagging these things in the past.

I translated 3 or 4 of them and they were all spamming some online casino gambling website.

When you hit the spam button for a thread started by a spammer it gets removed from the board and goes into a holding tank of sorts that board admins can permanently empty.

Now if a spammer adds spam to an already existing thread or someone has posted in a thread started by a spammer the spam just gets hidden while it's in that holding tank. It's why we say don't respond at all in a spammer thread because the response makes it so that the spam just gets hidden because it is tied to a response in a thread.
There is a way to back peddle and remove it totally from view but that would involve spam removing the member response and we aren't supposed to do that unless the member requests it which sometimes has happened when they responded and didn't realize it was spam.

All spam that is removed goes into the holding tank and it takes someone with admins privileges to permanently empty that tank.
On a rare occasion they have put back something that was spam removed but later determined not to be spam. I have seen this happen maybe 2 or 3 times in my 8 year here.

The ones with no shame that left the country, and the Rich that bought their way out of the Draft.

I seen it make or break Kids, I was one that it made, It helped shape my life, I went in as a kid, and came out a man much wiser. I seen a few broken, a few were broken before they were drafted, most of them were beyond help. Service isn't for everybody, you need to have a set of values, that should be instilled by your parents, not all of us get that, I was lucky!

That's the real downfall of our Country! Right and Wrong, I see it like a Scale of Justice, nowadays it seems to be sprung, or in the most, badly broken.

Many were abandon by their fellow Citizens, their Government. Some could have been helped, some could never be helped, but it would have been right to try to save the ones we that could.

Bless the ones that keep us safe, that Wolf will always be at our door.

So I know you're just trolling me. But I'm curious. What precisely about apneaboard "sucks?" My suggestion was only meant for people to be able to find a place to discuss Apnea related issues until this site came back up. Not sure why you would feel the need to slag another board that is also trying to help people...

My suggestion was only meant for people to be able to find a place to discuss Apnea related issues until this site came back up. Not sure why you would feel the need to slag another board that is also trying to help people...

However, YOU conveniently misquoted me to create a fake post and to make fake claims about my intent -- like a typical troll does.

What you DID correctly quote me on "apneaboard.com SUCKS" .... is indeed a statement reflecting my own personal experience, which is over ten years as a member of this forum and a very very short experience on the other apneaboard.com forum (because it SUCKS). So now you know the need to slag the other board ... "specifically" the apneaboard.com board (just in case you're still having issues w/ your quoting skills).

So perhaps you know a lot less than you thought. It matters not.

No offense to your quoting skills, your knowledge base, your curiosity, ... or your stork avatar.

There is nothing wrong with my quoting skills. Nor did I misquote you. It is exactly what you said above, as anyone can read if they scroll up. So other than saying (again) that "it sucks" you have nothing specific to offer. In point of fact actually, NOTHING about that other forum sucks.

Perhaps you are thinking of a different board, as was another member here that messaged me. They had some very specific criticisms of what they thought was apneaboard but it turned out they were thinking of a completely different forum. We had a very civil discussion and they appreciated me giving them correct information.
