BiPap machine Working But Data Did Not Get Recorded

Post by Samolotus » Sat Apr 08, 2017 8:25 pm

Hi all. I'm a newbie. Be gentle.

I have been on BiPap therapy since the beginning of February and I LOVE IT!! I have a Phillips BiPAP autoSV Advanced System One and I have had zero issues with it. Last night, I went to sleep and the machine was on and working well. I fell asleep peacefully using the ramp function like I normally do. I woke up at 0630 my time and just about an hour ago, 2020 my time, I went to refill my humidifier and per usual, I checked my data to see how I am progressing. Well, I go and check it and see that NOTHING was recorded last night at all. Not even the total therapy hours, AHI, nothing.

I searched these forums and got a little overwhelmed. I am going to try and unplug my machine and waiting a couple minutes before i bed down for the night to see if that fixes the issue.

Regardless, I think I shall call the respiratory therapist at my home health store where I got the machine and see what she recommends. In the mean time, I'd appreciate any and all input. From what I read, you all are quite the helpful bunch. I'm looking forward to becoming an active, contributing member to this forum.

Thank you!!

Where is it you are checking this data at? On the LCD screen? Or what software?

Sleepyhead uses 12 noon as the cut off and starts a new day. As far as Sleepyhead is concerned after 12 noon is today with no data yet. When you woke at 0630, that was yesterday. (Is that confusing?)

ResMed machines use the 12 Noon per the clock on the ResMed machine. Plus it has nothing to do with SleepyHead.

Respironics machines use GMT Noon internal clock when it resets the therapy data to zero. If you checked the LCD screen after the machine has started a new "day" or recording period and you haven't used the machine since the new reporting period has started it will show no usage on the LCD screen.

I suggest you use Sleepyhead software to see if anything shows from last night. I am thinking it probably will and most likely your recent checking of the LCD screen is simply because you are in a new reporting session.

You guys are awesome. When I woke up this morning, there was data there. I checked it at around 0745 and sure enough, it was there. Oh, and I am only checking it on the machine's info screen. I was not told how to use the software.

Is this Sleepyhead software easy to use?

What software? By whom? If "providers" forbid it, they are on a power trip--ignore that crap.
The manufacturer software is not as intuitive or easy to use as Sleepyhead.
