Full face masks
Full face masks
I have been using a ResMed Mirage Quattro for years. I don't know what changed but I'm having a lot of trouble with air leakage blowing in my eyes the last couple months. I don't know if they are making the gasket slightly different or what. I do know it is getting to be a problem for my eyes. Any suggestions on what to do? Is there a similar mask that may work better for me?
Re: Full face masks
Is your mask older, less resilient even after using baby wipes daily (or weekly as some do)? Have you gained even a little weight, or lost some = your face is the first place to know it.
Re: Full face masks
the headgear may have lost it's elasticity?

Have you had this mask apart for cleaning? Are you sure it went back together the right way?den942 wrote:I have been using a ResMed Mirage Quattro for years. Do you have a brand new mask to try?
Re: Full face masks
I have been using the Quattro for 8 years. I have not noticed any change. As you get older your face tends to shrink a little. Also at night your facial muscles relax and may cause leaks during the night.Guest wrote:Have you had this mask apart for cleaning? Re: Full face masks
One of the things I disliked about the Quattro was how easy it was to put it back together incorrectly.

Re: Full face masks
The masks start leaking when a week or two old. I clean with baby wipes about every other day. I have lost some weight so maybe that could be some of the problem.Julie wrote:Is your mask older, less resilient even after using baby wipes daily (or weekly as some do)? I get leaks even when the headgear is so tight it is uncomfortable.ajack wrote:the headgear may have lost it's elasticity?

I don't take the gasket out for cleaning, just when I replace it. It is seated properly...Guest wrote:Have you had this mask apart for cleaning? Re: Full face masks
the question is what you're doing wrong with those cushions, I went *four years* on my first one, waiting for it to fail.den942 wrote:The masks start leaking when a week or two old. I wiped it nightly with hand sanitizer to remove oils, and then washed it with dawn soap every week, and used cloth mask liners.
