what's that sound?

Post by joem18b » Sun Mar 12, 2017 8:29 pm

sometimes - and more often recently - when i'm just barely asleep or perhaps when i'm woken up by, a whooshing sound, as if the cpap is pumping air freely down the tube or ??? As soon as I breathe in through the nose pillows, the sound stops. Can someone tell me what that is? Doesn't seem to do any harm, but it always catches my ear. thanks.

I would guess you just opened your mouth.
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

I have your same APAP.
Sometimes, if you don't enter an humidifier well, it happens that the outlet seal does not make a good seal, and when the pressure goes up, you hear a hissing sound that can vary with respiration.
Try to control this.
Hello.
