If your titration pressure was 13 cm your APAP settings are probably to low. What has your treated AHI been running? The minimum setting is the most important in controlling your apneas. The maximum setting allows the machine to go higher when events happen that the minimum does not control. The goal is to control most with minimum but have the freedom for the machine to increase for the occasional increase during REM sleep or back sleep. Apnea can increase during REM and back sleep.

I want you to look at SleepyHead and see what your pressure is doing during the night. But if your titration pressure was right, your APAP settings may need to be somewhere around 10 cm to 15 cm. Then if your pressure is running at the top quite a bit, or you are having uncontrolled apneas, fine tune it from there.

I'll be setting up Sleepy Time this weekend and will post the screenshots. For the moment I've been using the app which links via Bluetooth but it's not nearly as detailed as SleepyTime is. For now the biggest problem is getting a mask which fits comfortably and I hope the nasal one does just that along with the eye mask and a possible soft cervical collar or chin strap.

The firm works better and lasts longer than the soft. There seems to be no loss in comfort with the firm over the soft.

The cells in the foam break down over time. One lasts me about four months.

Typically the 3-inch width fits a smaller person, and the 3.5-inch or 4.0-inch fits a larger person. Some may need to change the size up or down on the second order. The larger size you can wear, the more support to keep the jaw from dropping. Although I am a small person, the 4.0-inch collar works best for me.

while it's possible that pictures of sleepytime tea leaves may provide some insight into your therapy, well, consider me skeptical.

loading the sleepyhead computer program onto your system instead would likely be much more productive.

Word of warning when you use SleepyHead....don't ever hit the "full screen" menu choice in viewing.
You may not be able to get out of full screen easily and it's a PITA and not really needed anyway.
Just use the browser max button if you want the image larger and it is too small.
It's a know bug in SleepyHead.

Fair point.

I would still say don't do it though. Having personally experienced just how annoying it was and all the things I thought "should" fix it and didn't....not something I would want to wish on anyone except maybe some people who annoy me.

Tried the AFlex setting last night. After ramp up it was at a pressure of 11 which caused several leaks all around the mask. I tried to adjust the straps numerous times but wasn't able to get a good seal. After losing an hour of sleep by fiddling with the mask position and straps I gave up and slept without PAP.

The nasal mask comes later today and I also ordered an intraoral device and I hope either will work out better.
