Dreams
Re: Dreams
Been on cpap 2 years, and have had night terrors consistently for 40.Cpap seems to have actually reduced the intensity. I still have very unpleasant dreams nightly, but not the heart racing, bolt awake nightmares. Hope this helps.

Re: Dreams
Not having dreams and then having them on CPAP is totally normal. You weren't getting uninterrupted REM sleep before (when OSA is worst) and now you are - this is when dreaming occurs. Makes perfect sense

it's because your cpap isn't working well.shortyd wrote:GM All
Before cpap I hardly dream now I have vivid dreams almost every nite.
Is it because of cpap?
Thanks

you can dream during any stage of sleep.
you don't remember dreams unless you wake up during or immediately after them.

Re: Dreams
Your machine settings may be wrong for you, causing you to awaken during sleep.
You could download sleepyhead and see what types of events you are having and perhaps learn about how to make adjustments.
If you can post sleepyhead screens shots here, someone may help you with suggested changes.

Re: Dreams
Before cpap I went for a couple years with virtually no dreams. After cpap I started to have them regularly.
