Hey, people, since Esel is in Switzerland, much of this cute banter is not only unhelpful, but somewhat insulting.
Cpap works because the pressure inside your airway is more than outside your body, like blowing up a balloon.
Before masks were used for air, there was the iron lung, which made a partial vacuum around the patient's body,
This made air rush into the patient's lungs--good if one could not breathe at all otherwise.
There was some discussion of this several years ago, but being locked inside a steel tank to sleep
would be very inconvenient, especially if one woke up to a full bladder.

If a real concern try a liner to protect the skin and decrease air blowing into the eyes. http://padacheek.com/

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Hey, I am sorry, I didn't mean to upset any one.

I'll try to make a padacheek.

I don't think anyone was upset. We thought you were "pulling our leg" and we were playing along. If things got lost in translation, I am are sorry and will be happy to help with any user questions.

Don't worry about it. It's normal on the internet.

There are CPAP helmets, but they're cumbersome, and may require a special CPAP machine due to the higher leak rates.
