Hello! I'm travelling in Australia for six weeks in February and March. I'm coming from Canada, and I have a ResMed AirSense 10 Autoset for Her. According to my manual: "make sure you have the appropriate power cord for the region you are travelling to." Now I'm obviously buying a plug adapter, but do I need a whole different power cord?
Also, in looking at the reviews for travel plug adaptors, some say that they don't work on bigger appliances like hair dryers, etc. Anyone have any recs on an adapter you know works with a CPAP?

Re: Questions about travelling to Australia with ResMed CPAP
all you need is a plug adapter ... not a power converter .
the power brick should say 110-220 50-60 cycle ... on it .
a power converter converts 220 to 110 V ... you do not need this

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

My 'brick' shows 100-240 volt, 50-60 cycle.grayghost4 wrote:all you need is a plug adapter ... not a power converter .

Australia is 240 volt, 50 cycle, so fits within the range. All the bricks are the same, I think?

What you can do when you get here is just buy the plug that plugs into the transformer (i.e. from the wall socket to the transformer pic below).
That'll save you taking up a socket converter (i.e. $2 instead of $10 and a little easier).
That's what I did - I bought my machine from the US and just used another plug end.
I'm happy to send you one in advance if you want - I could suss out the cost (otherwise you can get one in Coles or Woolworths (the supermarkets here)).
Have fun down under!

reolhlains, that's so kind of you to offer! I appreciate that so much. I do have a plug adapter already, so should be good to go on that front, but thank you for the thought. Looking forward to visiting your country!
