That's a common problem with sleep tests - strange environment, hooked up to many pieces of equipment with someone in another room watching and listening to you all night.

The second night you know more what to expect and can hopefully sleep better.

Wow Granny what a nice post. Stick with this format, much more pleasant for all of us going through this bummer together

Additional Comments: Went from nose mask to FFM and now I'm back to the nose mask. Felt fine before CPAP now I'm exhausted and irritable.

I'll wrap up my part in my noobie thread, it's time for me to start posting in the real threads.

The Systane helped with the tear duct leaks, but something in it irritates my eyes. I'll ask my ophthalmologist for advice on that.

The wider neck collar seems to keep my mouth shut, at least I'm not waking up with dry mouth. That also helps with the puffer fish syndrome, my cheeks don't blow out at all.

The humidifier reservoir is empty in the morning, but maybe that's not as big a problem in itself if I keep my mouth and tear ducts closed.

My sleep specialist suggested getting my head in the "CPR Position" to combat aerophagia. Same theory as CPR to keep the esophagus blocked. The collar plus a neck roll style pillow does that, and I've noticed a difference. Still a bit of bubbling down there, but it's better.

I'm now getting an initial 3 to 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep, which is great for me. Once I wake up though I haven't been able to get back to sleep with the mask, so I take it off eventually and sleep on my side. I'll get there.

I passed my insurance company's compliance criteria, so the machine is now mine and I'm I just made my first 3 month supply order. I get a new mask, extra silicon cushion, and new hose. Plus every 6 months I get a new humidifier reservoir. I'm sticking with the F10 full face mask for now.

In deference to Uncle_Bob, you'll see I actually wrote 4 sentences in a row without a carriage return . Twice. Old dogs can learn new tricks.

Think about how much help ub has offered, I wouldn't worry about it.

I mean I wouldn't worry about it.

I have seen people write an entire post (or posts) with no white space at all.

Annoying to read to say the least so I don't bother.

I took it as a constructive comment, we should probably criticize me for tweaking on it again.

My other forum experience is motorcycle related. You guys don't even rise to the heat of a "which oil should I use" thread. OK really those can get pretty intense.
