Should I do this?
Re: Should I do this?
I like the MYAIR feature. It's a lot quicker than downloading data. Like somebody else said, though, I am sick of the "attaboy" crap. I have been doing CPAP for five years and it is just in the last couple of months that I have been able to finally tolerate the mask for more than an hour or two. I can now do 4-7 hours and ResMed goes wild telling me how "wonderful" I'm doing and giving me all these high scores. If it is so wonderful why am I having between 20 and 60 events an hour? Why do I still wake up suffocating and unable to breathe? Why do I fall asleep while reading or watching TV during the day - which is something new in the last couple of months. The latest doctor I'm going to may have been able to get the pressure right so that I can tolerate it....or maybe it's the new machine and mask....but she isn't concerned about the number of events I am having.....just as long as I am "compliant" with Medicare rules. Which isn't the least bit important to me since I already own my machine (I just went on Medicare a few months ago).
My priorities in life are God, family, and baseball. Starting in April, I do change the order around a bit.

What do you get out of MYAIR that is not available more easily on the machine display?cherylann wrote:I like the MYAIR feature. It's a lot quicker than downloading data.
On my machine display, I easily and quickly see AHI, leak, avg pressure, hours used and some other stuff.

Maybe signing up for MyAir is also conditional to receiving firmware upgrades (if those are available/apply), so I would personally sign up regardless.
