MyEncore is up and running-NOW WHAT?
MyEncore is up and running-NOW WHAT?
Thanks to the wonderful, unselfish work of several of our members, even I got it up and running!! This is good.
Now, if only I understood them. Is there a book that explains what the numbers mean?
Is there any chance we could beg, whine, snivel...promise our first born...to those of us who DO understand the meaning of these numbers?
Perhaps take one topic at a time, discuss it for a day or two, then take the next topic. In order of importance to our health?
I hesitate to even mention this as several of you do so much for us, but we have worked very hard so that many us now have it up and running. We need to take the next step so that we can USE this data to make our life better.
Do we have any volunteers? What do YOU think are the most important data? Even if we disagree with your thoughts, we would all benefit from it.
Just food for thought. Sorry, I am almost lucid, must be pill time.....

good question
Good question. And good approach. Each graph deserves it's own thread, and getting beat to death one at a time.
I generally zoom in on the DAILY PRESSURES tab. It reminds me how variable my pressure requirements REALLY ARE, and why I am so glad I insisted on owning an APAP. It also reminds me how completely useless a one night sleep study titration really is. The night I was titrated I was a SEVEN !!! Notice the green dots (90%) on the graph, I have never since been a "seven". A straight CPAP set on seven would have been tossed out the window long ago and I would not have bothered with adapting to an annoying blower in my face with essentially no benefit. And I wouldn't be here talking about it. The number of "uncompensated" events in the past three months is zero. In the last nine months, two. I know it's possible, but I've not seen that on a straight CPAP.
I am also reminded I'm glad I have objective data. I almost can't imagine adjusting the pressure setting, trying to guess what "feels right", and not having a clue that it would be like a cat trying to catch the beam of a flashlight maliciously played across the floor. The AUTO does a great job of "catching the beam".

Note: Last June I upped the pressure by 0.5 cm when I acquired a CL-2, the slight extra resistance made the lower pressure limit "noticeable"; 7.0 cm is about the "break-even" point with me and that mask.

My Encore Charts
Can anyone tell me why I get no info in this chart??
Ric,
Good lead off topic, I will pull mine out in a minute. I went to see my pulmonologist today, showed him EncorePro and MyEncore. He LOVED it.
He grabbed my laptop and spun it around where he could read this graph, then that one. I have never seen him smile before, but he did over this info.
He did not recognize the names, but said he has seen data presented in different formats. He likes MyEncore a lot.
After reading mine for the last 30 days, he says to leave it right where it is for now. 16/5......or is that 5/16. I can't remember, but IPAP is 16.
And I think I mentioned Encore Pro won over a sleep study titration of 6.
My wife's average scores are almost twice that, and she hit the 12-14 range a lot in the last 70-80 days. Insurance and Courtnee got her the Respironics Auto BiPAP. Sweet.
Laurabel, I guess my question will sound dumb, but are you saying you have EncorePro and MyEncore both running, yet do not get any info on this chart?
BUT you DO get info on all the other charts? Is this the only chart you do not get info on?

My encore graphs
How nice to have a Doc who understands! That is great. I do have Encore Pro (no problems) and My Encore running. 3 graphs show no info in My Encore--Variable breathing, flow limitations and daily pressures. I would really like to have the daily pressure graph. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. What am I doing wrong?
It IS nice to have a dr. who cares. I am trying this post again. My last one was sucked into the black hole the posting worlds.
Did you lose some charts that you have always had or do you mean you have never had them, but now want them?
MyEncore, click on the preferences tab, then to my charts and open it. All the possible charts are right there...if my memory serves me correctly.
Did that help any??

This is a great thread. I just got my software yesterday and have not installed it yet. I am watching my 5 month old granddaughter for 3 days and since I am not very computer savvy, I am holding off on installing it until I can concentrate. Used to be able to multitask better, but oh well. Any way this thread is asking great questions and I am confident that there will be someone out there to assist if I should need it.

Same issue with me on missing those charts, "no data available", in myencore and using encore 1.6. Per recommendations from others in another thread, adjusted my preferences/settings for charts to my pressure range, same thing. I exported the data from the daily pressure chart to my desktop and there was pressure info, but no date info.
Actually, I have some questions about the reports and what they actually mean. My average AHI is 2.1 from infor for the last 3 weeks, but on the SI I get readings like 45.8 down to 0.6. How can there be that much difference? What does that mean? I also have a lot more questions, but can we start with this? I feel like a dummy even though I have so much info at my fingertips!
Snore Index is down? My snore index went to zero when the IPAP hit 9. So if your SI is 45 at an IPAP of 3...then becomes .6 at an IPAP of some higher number, the higher pressure solves the problem. NO???
I could be wrong, I am still learning. The leak info always intrigued me. We have a "score" each mask is allowed to leak, then you can plug that number in on some software and it gives us a corrected reading....
I don't know if I explained your SI question, but as I said, when mine kept going down as the pressure rose, I interpreted that as good.
Remember, they did some studies in Austrailia or somewhere in that area studying the vibrations of snoring vs the blood flow in your carotoid artery.
Loud snoring can slow the blood flow down if I remember correctly.

Your Snore ratecan vary like that, You will notice the snore usually relates to a larger leak rate. Usually a higher pressure means less Snoring, as long as the pressure isn't lost through leaks. Congestion helps to produce Snorestoo, as well as a unrested night.
I found my sweet spot with the Pro 2, by slowly increasing the pressure .5 CM a week until Centrals events started to go up. Then I backed off a bit.
If you use a AUTO the rules change a little, as they tend to be aggressive on snores. Jim
