Does it happens to you?

Post by rosacer » Wed Dec 14, 2016 8:38 pm

Hi,

I was wondering if it is normal the humidity level raises up without you doing it. You wakes up with a really stuffy nose, you go check the humidity level in the machine and surprise it is no more 4.5 (what you had set several day ago) but 5.5.

That has happened several times to me. I thought it could be because I adjusted the humidity and I forgot and I led the screen at humidity but it was not the case, the screen was not at the humidity screen.

Aliens????

Never had the humidity change but I had the date changed twice by those aliens. Twice they moved the date forward one day so I had 2 different times there were big goose eggs for machine use and I never missed a night.
Those damn aliens.

How old is your machine? My S9 started giving wonky data before I replaced it.
It was also getting noisy.

My cat has done that a few times for me. I haven't figured out how he managed it without turning the machine off altogether.

I believe that it's not that hard to nudge the setting by accident while the machine is running

Hi guys

The machine has 9846 hrs
I don't have a cat or any other kind of animal
Nobody touches my machine and that is 100% sure
As far as I know I don't walk asleep
The machine is very hard to reach, my bed is several inches higher than the machine and it is placed far enough I need to make and effort to go change things.

Chunky : how old was your machine?

My problem is not new, it has happened the first time maybe more than a year ago and repeated at least 6 times.

I don't remember the season it happens but I think it is all the time on winter when it is dry inside the house. It makes no sense the crappy machine changes the setting, it should only adjust the humidity it produces to give the amount of humidity set, that's it.

I thought a machine was supposed to last way more than that. I'm maybe wrong, today things are produced to explose one month after the guaranty is expired What's the guaranty for a S9?

All ResMed machines have a 2 year warranty (as do the Respironics machines).

Mine starts up with the humidity button being active. I have to push it so that I don't accidentally change it later. My machine did not start that way, so I don't know when it really started doing that. I got my S9 Autoset in April of 2012. That is the only issue I have had with it, so I just push the button each night when I turn it on.

It should be a craziness as the humidity button been active, you are right zoocrew. I'm lucky there is nothing more dramatic happening.

Does somebody have an idea how many hours a S9 autoset can last?
