Need help with sleepyhead

Post by sherryrose » Sat Dec 10, 2016 12:05 pm

I hope someone can help me I was playing around with my sleepyhead software I went to I went to view and than full screen and now I can't get out of it. When I go to click on view, data, or help I can't see anything it's block and the X on the top of the page is gone, I can not get out of the program now without doing a ctrl/alt/delete. I tried uninstalling the program and than installing it again but that didn't work. I am so frustrated with this any help would be welcomed.

Click view, uncheck fullscreen toggle, this will get you back to original screen.

I have clicked view and nothing comes up it won't let me uncheck it. That's the problem it is locked in a full screen mode and I have tried to do everything to try to get to go back.

Try using the F11 key to toggle back to regular viewing.

I did the F11 with no luck, I have tried everything, I guess I will uninstall it and reinstall it again see if that will work. I did that already with zero results. I just have no more ideas on what can be done, when it is in this mode I can't get a screenshot to get help with my AH1. Thank you for all your help

That's a known bug in SleepyHead.
For some people the F11 trick worked.
If you uninstall SleepyHead you old data is still safe in the MyDocuments folder on your computer.
The uninstall won't mess with the SleepyHead folder in MyDocuments.

Palerider (forum member) may know of some other tricks to try to get out of full view. He will probably be online later tonight. I am out of ideas. So sorry. It's something I have never faced because I never bother with "full view" anyway.

If you can get to the screen to make a new profile (when you first open SleepyHead)...maybe a new profile would open up in normal viewing.

I tried opening a new profile and it didn't work but I want to thank you for all your help and letting me know that this is a known bug in the software, makes me feel a little better. At least I didn't do this all by myself

You don't say whether you use an Apple Mac computer, running some version of OS X, or a Personal Computer, running some form of the Windows op system.

When I tried fullscreen on my 13" MacBook Pro, the f11 toggle didn't. Didn't toggle, that is.

But I found if I slid the mouse pointer right up to the very edge of the screen, the Menu bar (that's the thin grey strip with the major choices on it) re-appeared.

At which point, I could slide along to 'View', click on that to get the drop-down menu, and turn fullscreen off from there.

I don't know if the same is possible in Windows. But something like it might be.

I am on a lap top running windows 10, I can see the menu I see view but when I click on it nothing happens the menu below works fine but the top menu the one I need to work just sits there doing nothing. I still can't see the X at the right side of the page where you go to end the program, the only way I can get out of the program is to do the ctrl/alt/delete.

Your profile shows a PR System One Humidifier so I assume a PR S1 blower.
All your data should still be on your SD card so even if you manually remove everything related to SleepyHead and reinstall it once you download/import again the data should return.
I don't think anything gets overwritten on the SD card with the PR S1 machines. So unless you have messed with the SD card it shouldn't matter anyway.

If you want to play it safe to be sure just make a copy of that SleepyHead folder in MyDocuments and put it somewhere safe.

Have you checked your display setup in Win10? If not, click on the windows icon in the lower left of your screen (this is the icon that takes you to apps and setup, etc.) When there, click on "settings" - you will now find a heading "System," click on it - this should default to list of options of which "Display" should be highlighted. When you click on it, the dialog box will separate into two panels - one will be headed "customize your display" - at the bottom of that panel you will find the heading "advanced display settings." Clicking on that will take you to the next dialog box that contains a large grey section with a blue rectangle with the number 1. In the lower left section of the dialog box you will find another box with numbers that represent the screen dimensions in pixels. If the numbers you see in this box are not followed by "(recommended)" you might click on the box to find alternatives - if one is noted as "(recommended)," try it to see if it fits the screen better. If "(recommended)" give you no joy, try a setting with different dimensions and see if one helps. If this works, it may be you will need to make a choice to either not toggle to full screen or make the work-around changes each time you use SH.
